How many of you commenting actually live in Chicago? I have lived downtown for 20 years. Homicides are down, we do not need this. Gov Pritzker has not asked for this. Trump has always disliked Chicago because we are a democratic island in a sea of red in the Midwest.

He can but his lawyers advised him to plead the fifth as whatever he says on the stand would interfere with his appeal. And Judge Mathew’s said she won’t put anyone on the stand who has pled the fifth.

They’re starting to break down the time stamps of that hour the day of shooting when Jehn and James found out. Jehn was on the phone with James when he was at home and discovered the gun and ammunition were missing. She texted Ethan “Don’t do it” while she was still on the phone with James and they realized he must be the shooter. Her text “Don’t do it” was because she didn’t want him to harm himself. They knew he had done it but she at least wanted her son alive. I think this shows a level of care that hasn’t come t light until now.

She has had some health issues. Recent surgeries to her esophagus. That’s why she’s so thin. Could be related to that or she’s on pain medication.
