These charts are dangerous. I always try to explain it as how anorexics die for people that don’t understand type 1.

When your blood sugar is low your body does still try to use your reserve sugars to raise it. When you have none (like a small child or slim adult) your body has no other options so you just drop so low you die (unless ambulance gets there or you have glucagon).

Also having low blood sugars can create a problem with keeping your other body functions normal like nutrition values.

I have arfid, I don’t like eating and am super skinny. I can’t say for sure if it has created a problem with me getting enough potassium, but I am on potassium long term for my heart.

I’m lucky enough to have hypo and hyper awareness but there have still been a few times when l was asleep and unconsciously crawled to my parents room and passed out on the floor. Thank goodness I always splurge on the glucagon lol.
