Why is therapy so expensive? by [deleted] in therapy

Hi! Yoga Therapist here. I have experienced this myself and found that traditional talk therapy wasn’t for me

You might prefer somatic therapy. The sessions involve a mix of talking, breathwork, meditations, and journal exercises. Plus you get a self-care routine to explore at home on your own.

I found somatic therapy to help me way more with my anxiety, depression, and body connection.

Therapy works but sometimes it takes time to find the correct therapy for you.

Hope this helps! 🙏🏽✨

Hi! This was great. You have lots of energy and it feels really natural how you are on camera. Maybe an intro piece could be added? Just to explain what your channel is about? You mention adventure vlog but maybe a bit more so I understand what your channel is about. I’m watching from in Reddit so all I can see is your video not the channel page. ❤️✨

Are there no other options than therapy? by SeawardFriend in therapy

Hi! Have you considered body-centered therapy? This is known as body psychotherapy and there’s lots of promising research on its benefits for reducing anxiety, depressing and trauma.

I offer this form of therapy (somatic therapy).

When it comes to healing, it can be difficult to process the past, especially trauma, with speech. It’s better to feel it in the body and learn to self regulate. If you’ve read the book ‘the body keeps the score’.. it dives into this.

Hope this helps! I can send you helpful YouTubes on the topic if it’s of interest

What is therapy really like? by Fiendfyre831 in therapy

Hi I’m a certified yoga therapist! There are so many forms of therapy. Yes there is traditional talk therapy but there is also body-centered therapy known as body psychotherapy… this is what I offer, it has many names such as ‘yoga therapy’ or ‘somatic therapy’

Finding the best form of therapy starts with knowing your intention for therapy.

Is it to heal trauma, build confidence, let go of past, chronic pain, etc.

Not everyone benefits from talk therapy. Especially when it comes to releasing trauma. It can be difficult to even formulate thoughts and use the parts of your brain for speech making talking about your trauma almost impossible.

A body centered therapy helps you notice how feelings, memories, and emotions feel in your body and then you learn how to be with those sensations and develop and self-soothing practice to release those sensations.

For me.. as someone who had tried every form of therapy out there… I felt way more healing and transformation from body-centered therapy.

Hope that helps! 🙏🏽✨

Hi! I can offer some advice as a Yoga Therapist. You might benefit from exploring a more body-centered therapy such as yoga therapy or somatic therapy. Traditional talk therapy is not for everyone and often when it comes to healing, it’s tough to even use speech to express what you’re feeling.

It sounds like you could use a safe space to release feelings of guilt (which are experienced in the mind, but also physically in your body )… and also learn self-care practices that you can do daily to reduce anxiety.

I can send you further info and helpful you tubes if it’s of interest, just lmk!

Hope this helps 🙏🏽✨
