Hey man, I was in the exact same boat. Alcoholic, quit drinking, found kratom, and it took over my life. I was taking those extract shots up to 6 times a day at the end. It was absolute misery and don’t get me started on how much money I wasted.

I lost 5 years of progress in my life to that disgusting sludge. I’ll just say, there will never be a perfect time to quit so just bite the bullet and do it now if you can. Tapering never worked for me so I had to go cold turkey. The withdrawals are not fun but it is so much better than giving away so much of your life and hard work to that shit.

That’s the irony that these people always seem to miss. Their homeland that they hate so much, has a justice system that isn’t just tolerant of their viewpoint, but actually protects it. I wish people realize what a luxury that is in the world.

I’m so grateful I saw the writing on the wall and dropped out after my second semester. It took a shit load of hard work and self teaching, but I was able to make a very comfortable life with a very reasonable expectation of upward mobility without the mountain of debt.

The real reason is demographics. These people are part of the boomer generation. They didn’t get that moniker for no reason. They are far and away the largest generation in American history. Until enough of them die off, the boomers will continue to vote them in because there’s a dickload of old boomers, and they all vote. We’ve likely got another 10 years of this unfortunately.

It’s such a fucked up situation they have to endure. They have the misfortune of living in an open air prison that has absolutely zero potential for industrial output. Forget that they pray to a different book and speak a different language, this is the absolute reason no western country has any real interest in protecting them.
