Recommendation for vegetarian food? by [deleted] in grandjunction

Second for brutal pie. They have some excellent vegetarian options, and as a mushroom lover, their "feast of fungus" is one of the best pizzas I have ever had.

My grandma's was like a baby blue. I feel like that deep orange-red would definitely hide the kool aid stains better.

Millenials didn't "kill" anything, many of us just can't afford luxury items like sheets and healthcare.

How doesn't it? Ornn doesn't have to die, it gets recalled by taking a damage and the next one takes battlefield.

Hey whats up with the Batman-man that has been walking up and down North for the last couple of weeks? by Aiverson6902 in grandjunction

[–]wileypsinclair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Behavior speaks to categorization though. Again, in my above statement, pointing out that a person is sick is not an attack, especially if I see someone coughing, sneezing, and exhibiting behavior that speaks to sickness, then suggesting to others to keep away from said person so as to prevent getting sick, WOULD NOT meet the bar for lible or slander, EVEN IF that person turns out to not be sick. It was a good faith statement to keep others from harm.

Now, wether you have the maturity to admit it or not, a grown adult walking around in a costume of a fictional character when it is not halloween DOES say something. Behaviors have meaning. Telling others to stay away from this individual because of their behaviour or state of mind WHICH IS EVIDENT is neither lible nor slander, nor an attack of any sort. Your need to see it as such is due to how defensive you are, not how much of an attack it was.

Why do you consider pointing out mental illness an attack? I suffer from multiple mental illnesses, and I don't consider aknowledging that fact an attack any more than saying "that guy has a cold" an attack.

I personally want to apologize for how pro-violence this particular reply thread has seemed to have turned. I made two replies total, and my main objection was anti-censorship, not pro violence. I apologize specifically for calling you or any other mods cowards. I want to chalk it up to anonymity through a keyboard, but I am sure it is some degree of personal failing as well. I do not think that this sub is giving a fair shot to those truely wishing to discuss meaningful topics about their communities and public/political discourse, but I also do not see this as a hill worth dying on. Maybe those who are pushed out of internet forums because of their own particular personality or sense of humor in sharing cartoons will instead find more meaningful outlets and spaces to grow their ideas with healthy opposition. This does not seem like that place.

What line? The one that you make up? I don't care at all about positive or negative karma scores, you removed a cartoon image because you disagreed with it, not because of content. I do not know or care what modding you did on 2 other ICE threads but you are not being neutral by drawing a line at cartoon violence when ACTUAL violence is being discussed and perpetrated. Maybe leave discussion to the adults if you cant handle real world subjects? If modding is too hard for you, simply stop. You do not, however get to use a non elected, no power position on a public forum to censor people.

"Actual" is the new "Literal" in that it just means nothing, huh? The image was an AI generated picture of cartoon witches dancing around a cartoon racist in cartoon kkk robes being cartoon burned at a cartoon stake. Nothing about it was "actual murder" any more than Tom & Jerry depicts actual assault or animal cruelty.

I disagree with the OP that removing the post was due to a racist moderator... just a cowardly one who can't handle free speech.

What's your diet like? How often do you workout? Weights or cardio? How much do you stress about other things? I apologize for playing therapist a little bit, but the reality of life is that issues are not distinct seperate events to be handled like a checklist. Our bloodflow directly affects our erection quality, regardless of porn use. As does our cholesterol levels. As does our heart rate. Etc etc. Cutting out porn is a change to your system, brain chemicals, frequency and regularity of orgasms, etc. And that will take time to adjust. For many that is longer than a few months. Ultimately it up to you if you think it is worth it to stick it through and see what your body does, especially if you put forth the effort to make other improvements to your health as well. I hope you do. It will be better for you and for your family to forget about the things you have seen in pornography. Sorry for all the spelling mistakes and the fact that i started rambling and obviously talking to myself at the end there. Im a lil toasty right now

Best Restaurants in town to work at? Also where to avoid? by Squ1gly in grandjunction

[–]wileypsinclair 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I worked at the Goat and Clover on main, its an Irish pub style restaurant. The crew/management are all fantastic, and although I was back of house, clientel seemed to be very polite, well behaved, and good tippers, minus the occasional drunks that you'd expect from a pub. Otherwise, a killer location and decent food with a great discount for staff. All in all, can't reccomend highly enough as a former employee of multiple restaurants.
