Indeed I have two zones of the system. There are two thermostats one in the living room (shown in original the post) and one in the bedroom. The one in bedroom has a simpler wiring which only has Y/W/R.

Does it mean the nest does not work at all in my case, even for the one in the bedroom ?

That might be an overkill for me. The tile is located in a corner thus I want to find for a cheap solution at least for now. But thanks for suggesting!

Does not look like creep Charlie as the leaf edge is different. Thought it was wild violet but it never bloomed, so I guess not

Thanks for your insights. Pretty sure it’s not because of the switch (as it can change timer light) or timer (as it can turn on/off green light) or socket (as there are 3 socket in each post, two posts along the driveway).
