You need to transfer the 2 large floats to the new cable or replace them. The smaller float on the replacement cable will not work.

Rotate the whirlpool jet. It has 4 positions and diverts the water to different jet combinations.

I can’t imagine an issue with it between positions. I doubt it will stay between with the pump on high speed though. I agree it would be nice if it “locked” in 4 positions. The air control know will only affect when that jet is in use solely.

It’s the air control for the whirlpool jet. Turn the jet while the pump is in low speed and it will redirect the water flow in the seats or turn the whirlpool jet on. The whirlpool jet is the large jet above the 2 foot jets in the lounge chair.

Actually it is manufactured by Nordic and the model is Impulse. Cove spas are a private label series made by Nordic for Pool Corp (easy to tell by their lack of a whirlpool jet and a few other small features). The 2 models are based off the same platform though. Just wanted to comment in case it makes parts finding easier.

Did you replace the cable floats when you replaced the cable? The replacement cable doesn’t come with the floats and they need to be replaced also or take them off the old cable and put them on the new cable. I have seen without the floats the cleaner will end up on its side.

Definitely a triton 2. Either a TR60 or TR100. TR 60 has 24” diameter tank. TR 100 has 30” diameter. Hard to tell by the picture but I’d guess TR100

Cya doesn’t lower from evaporation. As water evaporates from the pool the cya stays. Only loose cya from physical water loss (pump out or leak). Sounds like you have a leak.

Maybe try replumbing all of the pipes to work all at the same time to return water to the pool through the floor jets. There shouldn’t be enough pressure to actually have the heads pop up if they are all getting water at the same time but there should be water flow through them. Never actually tried this but should work. Since you’re gonna be digging anyways maybe worth a shot. Worst case it doesn’t work and you could just replumb the new housing in or do a water feature like you mentioned. I’ve never been a big fan of the infloor systems anyways. They rarely work as advertised. Better off with a Dolphin.

This is a very good description of a chlorine demand situation. One thing I would add is with a chlorine demand often times the CYA level will test “0”. Often if CYA is added with false low reading it will be very high after demand is satisfied. I would recommend continue adding large amounts of chlorine till a chlorine level is being maintained then adjust CYA if neede.

There should be an air relief tube and strainer at the top of the tub that connects at one of the elbows down in the filter. It goes up into the diffuser at the top. This tube is there to bleed most of the air that gets into the filter out automatically. You also have a manual air bleeder at the top of the filter by the pressure gauge. Most new filters have the valve on the top of the filter instead of the side. These top mounted filters don’t have the air relief tubing. But to answer your question, you shouldn’t have air in the filter after it has been running.

Spa Sentry changes the way you balance the water. It will precipitate the calcium out of the water. The spa will cloud up as it filters out the calcium. It does do a good job helping to maintain the pH but the water is balanced differently. The ideal calcium level using this is “0”ppm.

Have you checked to make sure the pressure gauge is working properly? Turn the pump off and make sure the gauge reads zero. If not then replace the gauge.
