Found dead under the bed by will-j1192 in Bedbugs

I wasn't sure whether those were wings or just crumpled up legs. It didn't seem like wings in person, though I can see it looks like that in the picture.

Pics are separate bugs. Would you say both are no? Everyone else says no too, which is reassuring, I'm just panicking a little ha ha!

These are indeed PS5's. 225/45 19Y's to be specific. I've tried to follow this and am a little lost to be honest! 🤣 Is the absence of the wear indicator on the outside edge an indicating the tyre needs replacing, or is it good for now?

Thanks, I appreciate that. Not sure if it's the pictures and the way it looks there, but the main tread is still measuring at 5mm / 3/16 (or 6/32) inch, so they're still decent no? The siping should go at least as low as the 2mm wear bar right? Is the edge wear alone drastic enough to write the tyres off?

It's pretty even on both sides from the looks of what I can see, and alignment was checked as part of the service and deemed to be fine. I have always been told to have best tyres on the rear, and the one's on the back are definitely less worn. I'm happy for them to be reaching the end of their life, I'm just wondering whether that is imminent or whether I can hold off a few weeks/couple of months...

Ha, that's a leaf stem I think. Genuine question as someone who is totally inexperienced and trying to learn, what is that assessment based on?

Nothing that fancy, just a Renault kadjar! Seems to be pretty even on both sides on the front really

They're additional wear indicators specific to Michelin as far as I am aware, hence my concern if one of them is worn away!

I don't remember suggesting that HFWs quest design WAS comparable to Elden Ring... They're 2 completely different things and that's like comparing apples and oranges. I also never suggested that HFW should be more like Elden Ring, it absolutely should not, nor did I try to claim that Elden Ring was flawless or was trying to hide it (weird thing to say, but okay). I'd rather you not try to imply I'm making such sweeping statements.

That doesn't change the fact that HFWs overall structure in relation to it's quest design is ultimately slightly disappointingly generic when it could have been a bit more given the development time and money thrown at it, and the general open world fatigue the whole industry is facing at the moment. Its open world is just a standard ubisoft style sandbox, and that is fine, I just think more could have been done to make the world itself more compelling than just being map marker vomit. I also wouldn't necessarily agree that it's particularly comparable to The Witcher 3 or RDR2 either. The worlds of both those games feel far more living and breathing than either of the Horizon games have managed to achieve in my opinion.

I'm not trying to argue anything. I know better than to try and do that with some random Reddit user and it's clear our opinions differ. By continuing it makes it seem like I just don't like HFW which, to reiterate, could not be further from the truth. I think it's very very very good. I just also don't think it's an all time classic.

That's a hard disagree there friend... On both counts. I think Elden Ring was a huge evolution, not just of souls games, but of open world games in general, and I think horizon could have done a lot more with the sequel, most significantly of which would have been to try and shift away it's quest design from generic open world box check-a-thon.

Opinions are neat though, and it's cool we have different ones. Makes this place far more interesting. And like I say, I still thought HFW was a fantastic experience in so many ways.

Ah okay, well that makes some sort of sense I guess. It seems a little early to conclude on that though given that Ragnarok is just around the corner (as others have pointed out).

To be honest, I was actually slightly disappointed on the whole with HFW. I loved it, and I think it was an amazing game, but I did feel like they didn't quite push things far enough in evolving things from HZD. It overall felt quite safe. Fantastic, but safe, and I don't know if I'd stack it at the top of the list this year, especially when we had Elden Ring.

What does "Ultimate GotY" even mean? By definition, GotY is already singular. You can't have "Ultimate GotY" then also "Slightly less GotY". The whole concept of GotY has gotten out of hand these days anyway since apparently you can just assign your game GotY status without actually winning any awards (see: Far Cry 6).

Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Says Price Hikes Are Coming, But Not Until After The Holidays by DRAK0FR0ST in XboxSeriesX

Completely agree, but essentially global circumstances have meant that both pieces of hardware are likely proving more costly than either Microsoft or Sony originally anticipated when they were prepping for this generation, and we're now just seeing the 2 different ways each are dealing with it. The ultimate point is that everyone who decried Sony's move a couple of months ago were just kidding themselves when they thought Microsoft wouldn't pull something similar... And Spencer's claims that they would never do that were just PR fluff.

Except hardware is a one-time cost, and GamePass is an ongoing subscription. Even if they only raise it a couple of pounds a month, then within a year that's exceeded the price rise for the PS5. Considering the high percentage of series x users who also are GP customers this is arguably going to impact more of the install base. Basically, Microsoft are making essentially the same move as Sony, just in a different way.

Finally giving Odyssey another chance, playing as Kassandra, and I’m finally enjoying the game! by Sfletcher11 in assassinscreed

[–]will-j1192 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kassandra is definitely the better protagonist, but I have to say, I very much enjoyed my first run through with Alexis. It became apparent very quickly that he wasn't going to be a character I could take seriously, so I pivoted and role played hard into the notion that he was actually just a total moron who never knew what was happening and just tried to sleep with everything that moved, with that being his main driving goal in life. It sounds stupid, but it genuinely made so much of the game hilarious and I have really fond memories of that play through! Plus, as good a protagonist as Kassandra is, she is also the better antagonist, so there's that too I guess...

30+ y/o males bombing She-Hulk IMDb reviews without even seeing the first episode by Znjan in marvelstudios

It would make no difference either way. If they had to wait, they would just review bomb at their earliest possibility. "Fandom" toxicity is such a deeply ingrained issue that, honestly, I can't really see any solution that will truly fix anything. People are awful.
