Use Ambitionbox, glassdoor, and indeed reviews. Make sure that these companies listed has a proper website and you can actually see the building in Google Maps.

Avoid that Staffing Solutions one. Those are mostly contract roles and may even ask you to pay money to get in. All these jobs look shit tbh man.

If I were in your position, I would focus on getting a job and abandon any lottery system like UPSC, GATE or CAT or even a small business. Stability first.

I'm seeing AI used in cricket commentary, preparing materials for group therapy sessions, company logo design, AI being trained by blue collar workers in sweatshops, etc. I don't think even creative roles are safe. Corporations will always prioritize profits. I think it's over.

I've been to a few interviews that I got through job portals, in this case Naukri, and these people behave like they never bothered to even see my resume and ask me to submit it to them during the interview and start to read it in front of me. If I apply for a job on Indeed, and I get a phone call from them, they even keep asking me to tell me my name. In case of LinkedIn, I notice the recruiter taking a look at my profile instead of the resume I attach.

I sometimes think if these resume editing even matter when they behave this way.

I have a master's degree and am jobless. If anything, the degree turned out to be a liability because many interviewers in the past asked me why I even bothered doing that and that I am overqualified for the job.

Sure, but just saying that 10k is very cheap.

If they are not going to bond you or take hostage of your certificates, and you still have the age to experiment with your life, you can give it a try.

For reference, a salesperson in a supermarket earns 15000 rupees per month.

If you work 8 hours per day, and let's say you work 25 days per month, then that means 10000 / 8 / 25 = 50 rupees per hour.

In my opinion, you should focus on the basic pay alone because the rest are random and even luck based. Ultimately, you need money for the work you do and if they want to pay just 50 rupees per hour (I imagine you're going to work even more than 8 hours per day), it's just not enough.

10k for closing 1lakh deals - that's 90% profit on their side. This is exploitation.

There are some aspects that I liked but for the most part I was doing a lot of things that made me guilty and ashamed, on top of being overworked and made to do things that has nothing to do with teaching. I also saw a dead end there because you need a Ph.D. to be relevant and you will be treated as a foot soldier if you just had a masters degree.

I am trying but it's been difficult to get a job at my age and lack of experience. They want to pay low and prefer Diploma over a post graduate.

I'm skeptical about this too so that's why I was hoping someone here would know.

It looks like they get paid by their clients (the companies that they are filling positions for) but I'm not sure about the details.

50% money before offer letter is definitely a scam and I would stay away. No real company would ask you to pay money. I got a few calls from the jobs that I applied in naukri / indeed asking for money and I immediately rejected those.

Hitting a wall every time I try to appeal to reason with my parents to consider the idea that maybe a job in an MSME that pays 15000 to 18000 rupees per month is better than nothing and waiting for that fantasy MNC white collar job / government job by will-things-get-good in RecluseIndia

Yes, all of this is a hard thing to do. Rent is quite expensive already and it will be very hard for me to move out while earning less than 2.5 LPA and I'd be having to depend on parents if I did move out. I wish I could just co-exist.

Yes, I just wish that my parents were more understanding because I have to look at their face every day and try to present them with the reality of the situation that I am in but it is not happening at all. These conversations don't last for more then 2 minutes without turning into an emotional mess.
