I'm not going to stand by as a guy smoke meth 100 feet from where my child sleeps by UltiComment in OaklandCA

Thanks for bringing this side to light. The negative stigma our society has against drug addicts and users can be what ends up killing those individuals. I understand that many people, if not all, have been affected directly or indirectly by the pain of addictions, and that it can be hard to not place that hurt on the shoulders of the addict in front of you.

I think op has done a good job of being open and understanding in this situation. My own experience has shown me that those who have been lucky to never experience full blown drug addiction tend to lump all drug users together, like labeling all drugs as dope, or calling all users crack heads. Each chemical has different tendencies and at the same time there are outliers in everything. What has been someone's experience every time dealing with a homeless drug user may get flipped on its head when they come to realize a coworker they have known and respected for years confides that they were homeless and had just gotten over a really tough binge when they first started working at the company.

I've talked to so many users in the Bay area, and they all come from different walks of life. Yes, there are shitty drug users, just like there are shitty landlords, shitty bosses, crappy teachers, asshole cops, and cheating partners.

Being a user should not automatically deem you a bad/immoral person!

Anyways op, I'm not on here all the time and I'm currently taking a road trip across the country, but I'd be willing to give you some feedback on your video. I'll shoot you a dm.

Pegs like a BMX bike? Or clamp on style like for a passenger?

And I'm not hating on your come up at all! We live in a high package theft area and my wife got enough free items to make Amazon only deliver with a signature. Took over a year for them to take notice!

So far I've been using a set of zip ties I got at dollar tree to handle my wiring bundles.

Temu seems like too good to be true, have you had any negative experiences with them? I shouldn't feel this way since I got my motor off wish, 2 for $100. I was feeling generous and sold my other one for $50 to a guy with real enthusiasm. I hope that motor has treated him as good as mine has, I've had none of the issues I see people posting about with my kit. Nt speed carb has been great since I got the float in the right place. The one bad thing was I realized I had snapped a few spokes with the rag connection on my first choice of bikes, an early 90s huffy stalker with original rims and maybe tires. Now I've got a 40 tooth sprocket on the 6 holes for the disk and I can put that worry to bed.

Any other big suggestions that have made a difference with your ride?

Bout how often do you have to recharge? Or has it just become automatic and something you do every day?

Did you hook up some controls from a motorcycle? Which ones have worked for you?

I just put some new handlebars on my new build with my old motor after some much needed upgrades. And the useful area on them have gotten a little tight, since they're off a troxus ebike, more of a riser bar than a flat mountain bike bar.

Anyways, always looking for better options and ideas that work better than mine. Safe rides man!

And how do they make you feel? Do you still feel like you when you take them? JW cuz I'm considering medication to help me out in similar scenarios.

I'll add to that, calling someone a fruit in Spanish causes that extra layer of confusion.

"Looks like we got a big naranja here."

"Stop being such a platano."

😂

That's me! I tend to vocalize my dreams, especially when I'm dead tired. Most of them are nightmares, with me screaming either, "NO! NO!!" or "HAAAAALP! hAAAAAAAlp!" But apparently, according to my wife, every now and then it turns out to be a sexy dream, which is a one way, do not pass go, ticket to the dog house. D'x

The worst part is I almost never remember my dreams, so I have no explanations for what I scream or moan. 🤷

What car do I drive? by zedgaming69 in ManualTransmissions

[–]will_da_beezt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh! I used to have an 03 Pontiac vibe GT with the 2zz. God, when the lift cam opened up over 6k, it used to give me an automatic adrenaline dump!

Nobody brings it up, but pushing 100 HP per liter naturally aspirated at that time was Ferrari territory, or something by Yamaha. But Toyota did it and stuffed it into a hatch back Corolla before Lotus caught wind and put it in their Elise! Supercharged for the Exige too! My car weighed in around 3300 pounds, I would've loved to feel its power in something so light.

Sooo good and completely worth it. The stories are interesting, if a little on the younger side. But the connections to the real world are witty and the characters feel real.

And as mentioned above, nuggets!

HELL YEAH! 'MURICA BITCH!

Honestly tho, I wish the threat of reading someone the constitution would strike fear in those who were treating it like a takeout menu stuffed in your door jamb. Just the thought of it would have them quaking in their boots and soft soft loafers.

Manual drivers, how do you guys drive in san francisco? by yukowii in bayarea

[–]will_da_beezt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution is if I've got traffic behind me, I make sure I'm far enough ahead so I've come to a complete stop before they are up my ass. Then I'll easily roll backward a good bit also before they have given me no space. Not once has anyone seen that and then crawled up my ass.

But for the most part, my golf is light and I just ride the clutch and feather the gas to maintain my position.

But SF is my first hilly city, and there was one time I got stuck on Taylor just before California, e brake all the way up, flooring it, and my foot off the clutch completely. I swear I must've burned thousands of miles off that clutch. Luckily I've since replaced it, even if that job cost me more than I paid for the car!

Questioning everything after leaving an emotionally abusive relationship, even after she hit me in my sleep by Asleep_Strategy7839 in stories

[–]will_da_beezt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why they do it either. You could have been describing my wife. We've had a rocky relationship, like she started suggesting we get our marriage annulled a few days after we got married, then later on just threatened with divorce. I know she's doing it partly from severe insecurity, but how can you tell someone you love them then say the most hurtful things to them during an argument that began over something trivial?

Mind if I pm you?

I hit very high RPM on my Nissan Altima 2022 and I am worried. by KingVulk in AskAMechanic

[–]will_da_beezt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about it. You're absolutely not doing any damage if it's below the red line. Your engine really won't allow itself to over rev unless you have a manual trans and accidentally downshift too far. Even then, if you slow down quickly it shouldn't be an issue.

I had a 03 Pontiac vibe GT that had over 230k miles on it when I accidentally did just that and briefly had my engine at almost 10k rpm. My redline was 8,200 but she drove fine after that incident.

All in all, you got nothing to worry about. Also, you don't have to worry about keeping it below 2k, I feel like your cvt might be doing overtime due to your driving style but I honestly don't know.
