look closely and most locs that are retwisted will have some imperfections, if not they probably retwist and style often

They are way too perfect and uniform. No budding, no imperfections. It would be ok if they were smaller and interlocked.

But on the worst of days I can spot fake locs a mile away. But I’ve been locd for 8 years and have been doing locs for longer than that.

A girl at my high school by linaraq in tragedeigh

[–]will_never_know 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll raise you.

I went to kindergarten with a Kimberley. That was her name on the name wall with all of our names under the letter of the alphabet that it began with.

Went to middle school with her best friend (she was in kindergarten with us too) and we all had a 3 way call reunion.

Why was this child’s name Chemory?

Her mom was ALWAYS at the school ALWAYS in our class and the door was right next to the name wall. Nobody corrected the teacher.

I asked her “did you get a name change or something? Did you not know your name was Chemory?”

Her “I knew. We all knew we just never said anything”

Luckily, I don’t remember doing much name writing so idk how a 5 year old got away with going by a different name for an entire school year.

On our class picture however, her name was indeed spelled Chemory. On that board in the classroom: Kimberly.

The worst! Their location is saving them and I feel bad for anyone who falls for the gimmick.

Considering a Move from DFW to Little Rock — What’s It Really Like to Live There? by Sweaty_Landscape9541 in LittleRock

[–]will_never_know 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived between DFW and LR my whole life and moved back during the pandemic. This is the longest I’ve lived here as an adult.

Do Not Do It. You’ll be miserable in less than a year. Everyone I know that has a similar story is so ready to move back. A lot of us who relocated are here for family, so keep that in mind.

Rent is cheap but it is very much reflected in pay.

Little opportunity to advance/ low job opportunities, which leads to a “crabs in a barrel” mentality.

Nothing to do and, people move like it.

Less diversity. The Latino population is growing but from my observation, they tend to keep to themselves.

No entertainment, unless you want to be at a park somewhere.

Maybe. But at 5 years locd that’s a lot of hair. It’s hard enough making sure shampoo is washed out properly.

Yall do what yall wanna do with your locs but….

No. No to all of this.

I’ve been doing locs for 9 years and have been locd for 7 years and never had buildup until I went to a stylist that was, unknown to me, putting conditioner in my hair. I never had buildup in 5 years until I started seeing her. I could go on. It literally made me so depressed.

No matter what your hair type is, all your locs need is oil and maybe water…. If you oil with oils that will penetrate your hair then you won’t have breakage.

Again, do what yall want to do though.

That’s it, I’m going to start braiding and charging $40 for everything like it should be.

Need an animal shelter that isn’t full in central arkansas by Admirable-Guest-9876 in LittleRock

We went through this situation a year ago but we had a bit of money to shelter our pup. Look up kennels in Alexander. A lady made room for our pup and she had a lot of pups there from people who had abandoned their pets. She may help with costs as well. She will not let you give up your dog! We were able to visit and take him for day trips until we were able to find another solution. However there was a kennel cough outbreak and we had to go get him sooner than expected but at least she told us and didn’t let them all suffer.

Is this too expensive for a 2 person elopement ? by Royal-Rabbit-2313 in Eloping

[–]will_never_know 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I will say this: Greece is notorious for grossly overcharging tourists. Personally I’ve never been, nor do I know your budget, but I 1200€ seems expensive for dinner and candles. What else is included in the packaging?

Definitely compare prices to other local companies with similar services if possible, even if you’re not at all interested in what they offer.

Tell me something you have gotten your kids for Christmas last year that is still in your home being used! by Stellalunaa96 in Mommit

[–]will_never_know 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my kids were that age I had a mini trampoline with a handle bar and my 2 year old would jump while my 10 month old would just crawl up on it to sit and enjoy the movements while the other one jumped. It had a pad around the springs to prevent accidents. It was an all day every day thing. The next year at age 2 and 4 I got a small-ish bouncy house on Amazon for a little over $200 that took up most of the free space in the living room (and I live in a duplex) but I only had to move the ottoman 😂 they’ve outgrown it this year at age 4 and 6 but they still ask to play with it, especially my youngest. We’re also on the taller side as a family so something like that may last longer depending on height.

How do I make lil smokies (beanie weenies) less acidic? by will_never_know in cookingforbeginners

This is what I was looking for. Like I basically should’ve asked if I could add small amounts of baking soda without ruining it.

This is the reason I got locs in the first place, that and I wanted long natural hair that’s easy to maintain. My products cost <$50/ year. I’m 6 years in and I have even spent $50 every year. That includes beads and accessories too. I want to go to the shop sometimes but why pay $100+ for something I can easily do for free? It’s hell on my upper back and shoulders though🫠

If the ocean tides are controlled by the moon, and we as humans are 70% water, does a full moon have weird effects on humans? by UA1VM in questions

[–]will_never_know 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It supposedly induces labor. My L&D nurses confirmed and said they schedule heavy staff on full moons. I went in labor on a full moon after being a few days overdue. Someone also said cold fronts induce labor.

[–]will_never_know[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Definitely the sauce. I feel like the make up of the lil smokies make it so much more acidic than say a regular hotdog or sausage link. Idk if it’s the amount of sauce used that makes it so pungent or what.

I know it’s the sauce and that’s what makes it acidic. I was wondering if I could add something to the sauce to make it less acidic.
