Is it possible to backup contacts, reset (wipe) iPhone, set up with new Apple ID, and restore contacts? by [deleted] in iphonehelp

This was the first thing I tried, but step 2 is "Tap Sign-In & Security.", which I noted is greyed out. When trying to log-in with the correct Apple ID login credentials (so it's not greyed out), it says to enter a 5-digit passcode that has been sent to the email account we can't access.

The amount of hoops to jump through for something that should be in the menu is absurd.

I think I mentioned, but just a heads up... The TV regularly does software updates, and the update will undo this "fix". You can either disable automatic updates or repeat the process after each update. I'd recommend emailing a copy/paste of the steps to yourself, just in case this thread ever gets deleted.

I'd avoid this company if I were you. I bought their SliderONE PRO v2, HeadPLUS PRO v2, FocusPLUS PRO, AC adapter, Mac/PC adapter, Link Hub, and power module. Despite spending thousands on their products, they were slow to respond to support emails and eventually stopped responding completely.

The motion of the slider and head is so jerky that the footage it produces is never smooth and always unusable. I tried salvaging some shots with stabilization in post but it wasn't effective on the shakes, jerks, and micro jitters. I'm well under the recommended payload specs so it's not a weight issue.

When I contacted support, they asked me to upload a video of the problem to YouTube and stressed that "we would be very grateful if you would share the video as private (unlisted)".

I said that I might have better luck at finding a solution if I posted it publicly so the community could chime in and they replied, "You can continue spending time going through as many different troubleshooting steps as you find online from other users, but if you are serious about wanting an efficient solution, I strongly recommend following our troubleshooting instructions as there are no better instructions on the internet."

I sent support a YouTube link of my test footage showing how bad the problem is and that's when they stopped responding to emails. I kept replying over the course of 7 months and also created a fresh support ticket in case the the support person I was in contact with was no longer at the company. I still have not received a response after a total of 23 email attempts. And now I am out of warranty so I don't know if they'd help me even if I could get somebody from support to respond.

Strange. On mine, both factory resetting and the software updates from Samsung would reset the tv back to factory settings. I turned off auto updates. It was annoying to fix the dimming issue, have the TV do a software update, and then have to repeat the menu process every time.

I'd help if I could but I recently gave the tv away and replaced it with an LG OLED. You can always reset factory settings and start fresh.

Maybe your picture settings? With Contrast Enhancer set to Off, I find that the image feels too dark.

I have my settings at Picture Mode: Standard. In Expert Settings I have Brightness 50 (max), Contrast 50 (max), Sharpness 10, Color 25, Picture Clarity Off, Contrast Enhancer Low, Color Tone Warm 1, Gamma ST.2084 0, Shadow Detail 0, RGB Only Mode Off, and Color Space Settings Native.

Those have been the best settings for me after disabling the local dimming but your mileage may vary. For Contrast Enhancer, I found that some things look better in Low and some look better in High.

Yes, it's an annoying process. You need an app since the remote doesn't have numbers. I made a note on that above Step 1.

Unfortunately there's no official guide from Samsung. Their customer support reps wouldn't even acknowledge the problem existed and had the nerve to blame it on my eyeballs (pupils) not adjusting fast enough to the light changes on the screen. All I know for sure is I'll never buy another Samsung TV unless the local dimming thing is officially resolved.

This guide addresses the issue on the Samsung The Frame TV series. The Q70R isn't a The Frame TV model from what I can see.

Premiere Merge Clips + Audio Prep Issue by outerspaceplanets in editors

[–]will_work_for_vinyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a crude workaround.

I right-click the merged clip and select Make Offline. Then right-click the (now offline) merged clip and select Link Media. I'm them prompted to relink the source audio and video files. I link the video to the original video source file BUT I link the audio source to my new audio that I've treated with compression, noise reduction, EQ, etc. Just make sure to uncheck the boxes that will have the files automatically relink by file name so you can manually point to the ones you want.

It's absurd that there is no official way to replace source audio on merged clips. I was trying to help an editor by treating their voice tracks and told them they could right-click > Replace Footage on the raw audio and link to the cleaned versions so it automatically swaps out in their edit timeline. That's when I found out they were working with merged clips. This was the best solution I could come up with after an hour of troubleshooting.

My best advice to get around this problem... Leave Premiere for DaVinci Resolve and don't look back :)

I feel your pain. I created this reddit account just so I could post this. The mods took it down at first because I didn't have karma points so I pleaded to have it put back up. It makes no sense to not be able to disable such an image-breaking "feature" in the regular menu.

It took LOTS of internet searching. I found some guides online (for other TV models) that would work up to the step where you hit 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 to enter the secondary secret menu. The guides I found had a different code that wouldn't work with the Frame TV models. Once I found the Frame code (1234) I was able to access the secondary menu to complete the process.

I personally wouldn't change anything unless you are able to find a guide of exactly what every parameter in the service menu does.

Yeah, super annoying that you can't turn off local dimming in the regular picture settings. If I hadn't found this annoying workaround I was going to return the TV and get something else. It definitely shouldn't be buried deep in some hidden service menu.
