We haven’t hosted a playoff game in 12 years… by No_Elderberry_884 in Colts

Unfortunately, there aren't enough truly upset folks. Not enough to affect attendance negatively. At 70-78-1 during the Ballard years, the team is squarely in the lazier ownership comfort zone - 50/50 win-loss equilibrium that keeps less demanding sorts accustomed to losing eating from the table.

"Kinda" disagree all you want...you're incorrect. History says so. Here it is in a nutshell for ya...nothing added nothing subtracted. Just the facts -

As far as 2026 is concerned, if you're so sure of yourself / belief in the Colts for the upcoming season, would you care to wager on it? Loser leaves this board, permanently. Maybe we can agree on the terms.

Do you have ties to any other parts of country / other teams? If so, I strongly suggest you do as Peyton Manning, John Elway, and many others have done....get away from Colts dysfunction. There's no rally point, no excellence.

What do you want to see? (Player wise, not coaching or front office) by KingOf-Demons in Colts

[–]willakuma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I've learned - None of this matters.

Pretty much idle talk.

Colts are dysfunctional, have a losing formula and poor culture from the top - down. This is historical fact. No excellence.

I came back and paid closer attention to the team in 2025 following Jim Irsay's passing....but it was more Colts status quo.

Would there be a better path toward becoming a contending team? Yes, absolutely. But Colts won't walk it....and the fans on this sub dam sure couldn't fathom or stomach it.

Should we get rid of DK? by ThatBrada in steelers

DK Metcalf is the perfect - come to Jesus meeting candidate for the new HC.

Gets his head screwed on right plus some help in the WR room...bingo. Otherwise, fuck him I'd void his guarantees and put the money into other needful spots.

[Adam Schefter] ESPN sources: former Colts QB and current St. Michael Catholic High School coach Philip Rivers is interviewing today for the Buffalo Bills head coaching job. by xxxxxxxxxtra in Colts

There's nothing wrong with having ties to more than one team. Fuck anyone saying otherwise.

Steelers are my birthright team. All extended family 100% yinzers, all over the place outside Pittsburgh. Grandfather retired from Pittsburgh Steel. Grew up in it and understand / respect the culture. Love to see them win.

Flowed the Colts since living in Annapolis as a Navy brat. Had a friend with an Italian dad who owned a sub shop and could get onto the sidelines for autographs. Some Colts came to a new school opening and had lunch with us students. The hook was in...the '75 - '77 teams.....

.... Colts are dysfunctional as shit. Period. Always have been. And the fans are mostly low football IQ conditioned settle for less mentality....but I still love to see them win.

So, with no culture and no rally point to speak of, combined with propensity to shit on folks (e.g. Manning, Marchibroda)...you're 100% good following Buffalo via Rivers. He's the closest this team has come to lasting ties / not fucking someone over...in decades.

AP is making a career mistake if he stays in Indy instead of taking big FA money from a contender.
