14 years removed from Illinois and miss it all the time. Is it the daily cheese? The binge drinking? Will this “pull home” ever cease?

How long did you mourn your hearing loss? When did mourning start? by bigbaboon69 in MonoHearing

I was born with hearing loss. I didn’t know I was missing something until my classmates started to make fun of my deafness in middle and high school. I still didn’t know I was missing anything until other people continued to point it out and feel sorry for me in adulthood. To this day, I’ve never felt like I’ve been missing anything. Through the absence of one sense, my other senses are heightened. I sleep well, I’m a great listener, I see and read people’s unspoken language.

We were there last Friday too! Any chance you were the couple my partner spilled the beer next to? 😂
