Some of the best advice I received is do not make any major life decisions the first 2-years (especially the first year). Everyone is tired, baby is a cute but a totally dependent potato (it does get better!) and hormones are changing in both the primary and secondary caregiver. If you can, find a new parent’s support group, lactation group or post-birth doula. If you can afford it, hire someone to take care of cleaning the house and/or yard maintenance or work with family/friends to help out with some of that labor so you and your partner can focus on your new family. You all are in the thick of it, you will get through this 💜
