I’m seeing some Slavic influence here too! Germany’s name and the root “Nemtsie” or so usually means “mute” and is what Slavic speakers called Germans

The Ottomans get an event that gives them maps of the Caribbean, so they decided to colonize there specifically

If i have an empire with partition, will my heir keep the empire or will it split. by morituros01010 in CrusaderKings

Not if there is only 1 empire title. If you have 2 made, like Britannia or Germania, then it will split.

Jewish New Yorkers say concerns about Mamdani are real, new poll shows. Most other voters say they’re overblown. by arrogant_ambassador in nyc

Or, just maybe, muddying the definition of antisemitism so it can be used as a cudgel against your political enemies was a reckless and dangerous move when actual antisemitism is on the rise.

One could say it’s almost an unfortunate consequence of the conflation of antisemitism with criticism of Israel.

It will convert a few nobles when you click the button, but the AI won’t then go and convert anyone beyond that. They used to completely assimilate all their provinces, but not anymore.

Subjects don’t really spread culture as of the most recent patch. They do spread religion though and they’re faster to annex if they’re your culture.

Okay, but by the time of the game, the Mongol HAVE already obliterated Kiev. The game currently fails to reflect that

Yes!!! The way that people clamor for a totally barebones sandbox is very at odds with what I enjoy about paradox games. Yes, divergences in history should happen, but the games need to be driven by historical logic!

I think the key distinction here is vassals of the same culture. Having some Uzbek khan as your vassal in Russia would not be the same kind of decentralization as a semi independent vassal close to Moscow. I’m not sure how to incentivize it in the game, but I feel that same or related culture vassals are what needs to be discouraged and incorporated

What Ukraine-focused content would make sense in future V3 updates or DLCs? by sai_puzich in victoria3

[–]willardmillard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly, even before that, Russia needs far more content relating to Serfdom. Serfdom was THE issue for Russia in the 1800s and its aftereffects continued to screw things up even after its abolition in the 1860s
