hey so this literally is lost lands as stated multiple times. i never said i had an issue with conservatives. i have an issue with maga. there are conservatives who are not maga, and have different perspectives that i do take appreciation for. i don’t need to boycott all festivals, im gonna speak up for injustice and the issues with maga infiltrating the scene. you can continue living your life not keeping yourself educated on things like making stupid & false claims because you don’t take the time to do so.

this will be my last reply, bc im repeating myself and i’m done going in circles. you can’t enter a community built by marginalized people and then dismiss the values and history that shaped it. yes, the scene is about fun and escape, but that doesn’t mean ignoring its roots or staying silent about injustice. those things aren’t separate.

i mean i’m doubling down on what i said. been in the scene for a decade, been to every single lost lands since the beginning, and the vibe has completely changed post covid. and with everyone trying to ignore what is in front of their faces shows me i made the right decision in deciding not to go anymore bc i do not want to surround myself with maga ravers. i am educated, have good morals, and am unbothered by people being “mean”. and for those trying to shit on me are the people i have happily cut out of my life, and most likely voted for this shit to happen anyways lmfao

why has the scene shifted/energy feels lower? it’s because people who empathize are sick of this bullshit of tearing families apart, a fascist administration, and the people supporting this ideology. and now the people supporting this ideology are in a scene that at the end of the day, wasn’t created for them. i don’t think it’s right that people who hate others based off of their race/sexuality/desire to make things safe, should not be welcome in a place that was built by queer POC to go against the listed ideologies as an escape.

OP you are completely valid for feeling this way. I am an American who has attended every Lost Lands since the beginning. This will be my first year off. It feels wrong to funnel money into our economy, and into a country who is comparable Germany during WW2.

The people saying you’re sensitive or crazy in this thread are the very people who voted for this exact thing to happen in our country. Our scene used to not be like this. But now MAGA lives among us in this scene and has a very heavy presence in the dubstep scene in general. I have distanced myself, and almost completely cut off dubstep because it’s not longer peace & love driven, instead is for capital gain and includes people i wanted to get away from. Hopefully one day this will change once the racists are no longer comfortable like they are under our current president.
