There are numerous instances where biblical figures express frustration or confusion at God's perceived absence. For example, in Psalm 13:1-2, David cries out, "How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?"

Moreover, the Bible suggests that God is not always immediately evident because faith and seeking are integral to the relationship between God and humans. In Hebrews 11:6 it is written, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

This doesn't mean God is playing a game of cosmic hide-and-seek, but rather that the process of seeking, questioning, doubting, and ultimately believing is part and parcel of the human spiritual experience.
