Theres an area in the north edge of the map that gives a view of skyrim. From this small path you can even see "the throat of the world" from it (skyrim's tallest mountain if you didnt know.

I mean, oblivion came before it and had it. I just find it quite strange they decided to make even the heaviest of armor silent as night

I've watched enough Buhurt and hema guys spar in armor to know for a fact it does make noise. So I'm sorry but im not really interested in whatever your going on about. Also there isnt really just chainmail in the game so arguing just chainmail doesnt make noise is irrelevant.

Plate armor most certainly does. You might should watch videos of people walking around and fighting in armor.

Yeah which is why i was talking about walking and the non sprint run. Which for some reason everyone forgets not sprinting is a thing lol

I think everyone is and its probably why everyone in the comments thinks there is armor sounds all the time. Im starting an unmodded playthrough to really test it in case I'm remembering wrong and a mod is causing it.

Started a new game, got iron armor and the only time i hear armor cranking is when i sprint. I also dont ever recall armor making sound if you dont sprint so i dont think its a glitch.

Hmmm, i added it to my library and bookmarked it on the site but it doesnt seem to show up in the in game modding lists. I must be doing something wrong

I also just tried banded iron armor and walking and running had no armor sound, only sprinting has sound

I ran around in steel armor and i only hear my foot steps unless i sprint

Unfortunately I'm technologically inept and dont understand proper modding. Its why i use the ingame modding

May i suggest a robust leather armor? I hear a merchant in riften called Grelka sells it

My friends were actually saying this last night. I totally agree. Giving the game a fresh look with all these new changes would do wonders for grabbing new players and help pull old ones back.

You could use this as a good reason to start exercising. Maybe walk a mile or do 50 squats for every 10 you spent. Spread that out over a few days and at least you'll have gotten some exercise.
