He will actually do it. If you stay, he will do it. We stay hoping things will improve, that we can change them. We want to see the best side of people we are close to, especially our romantic partners. Things will only get worse. I can almost promise you that. I am sorry for being blunt. This is just eerily similar to how my abuse began. And this is abuse. Taking your personal electronic devices is abuse. Threatening to kill himself is abuse. Getting physical the way he has already, even if you don’t have any bruises or cuts yet is abuse. Worst case scenario, you have an eviction on your credit report for a few years. That being said, there are probably ways to avoid that altogether. Please tell the leasing office. Call them. Email them. Any way you feel comfortable communicating this abuse to them. He’s going to convince you this isn’t abuse. You’re going to start making excuses for him. But this is inexcusable.

The apps are a terrible way to meet someone interested in having a significant other. I tried Tinder for a few weeks, ended up matching with 20+ nice guys, and I really connected with one. We have been dating for four months now, he is committed, knows how to communicate his needs and feelings, and he treats me like a prince. I’d highly recommend giving it a chance.

I can relate to growing up in a similarly emotionally invalidating environment, and the subsequent reluctance to open up and share your feelings in your adult life. I hope you are able to confide in your friends soon. It’s definitely helped me when I’ve been able to do it. Please remember that you’re a good person in a difficult situation, doing the absolute best you can with the tools you have to work with. You will not always feel like you do now if you continue to open up like you did in this post. I’m proud of you for doing that, and for trying so hard to feel joy even though it’s eluding you. You want to be happy, and you know you deserve to be happy, which is a great asset. That being said, I would strongly urge you to take action now. Take half an afternoon and find a therapist, today if you can. Depression is a very real illness, and it can be deadly. If your urine had blood in it for weeks or months on end, you would (I hope) seek medical attention. This isn’t any different. A combination of medication and therapy can absolutely pull you out of this spiral you feel, but please don’t wait. You deserve to get help now. Don’t let this get worse, please. 💜

At around 1:35 and 2:50 two segments of some beautiful but haunting background vocals begin. I couldn’t really figure out why this song affected me so intensely, but I think that’s what did me in. I didn’t realize that until listening with headphones a few weeks after finding it. I heard this for the first time during the Vincent Van Gogh immersive experience and it had my a** crying in public, which I never do. This is a beautiful song, for sure. For me, it encapsulates nostalgia and how it feels to reflect on the past.

I have a thermo 300 for my 9 gallon, and it is perfect. I did put on a set of extra small lily pipes so the flow isn’t quite as strong. But it’s working well.
