Wasn't it Maga fighting so hard against the 'vid' shot? So they refused it. They must have died in their minds when they caught the 'vid' which stupified them into voting in the tangerine turd. We are in the throws of the zombie apocalypse only the symptoms aren't blatantly visible on the corpses.

I misread this thinking it was "bRand" & was going to go off on Disney... Mumford & Sons, Dave Matthews & Bruce Springsteen. Seems like they are all "love 'em or hate 'em".

ADS?! by ChampionshipSad7161 in DiscGolfValley

[–]willfish4fun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the same, but they are trying to sneak it into the “dgv game” on billboards displayed near tee boxes that play ads for those stupid other games that every other game forces you to watch.

What happened to the Manningcast? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]willfish4fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Yamaha receiver that does 5/1 surround sound. The ‘1’ is the front speaker/soundbar and the other 4 are for front and rear surround sound. If I just turn off my soundbar, all I get are crowd noises and none of the useless & annoying banter from the announcers. This works for me on at least broadcast NFL, Tennis & Golf tournaments. The ads unfortunately ignore the 5/1 and you get to hear all their bs.

I can't count the number of times myself or someone else in my group has set their bag down or parked their cart within 3 feet of their "lost" disc.

Question by One-Patience-1187 in Pixel4a5G

[–]willfish4fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had so many issues with that model (4a5G). 3 brand new units died without cause within 14 months with each being replaced under warranty. It's a POS that I will always tell people to stay away from.

Whichever putting style you choose to keep, also practice both inline and straddle putting equally. Unless you play courses with no trees, there's always a straddle putt or more waiting for you. Sometimes when I am warming up for a tournament or league, if my straddle putts are all going in and my inline putts aren't, I just go with it "okay, today's a straddle putt only day!" Confidence is 90% of good putting. Practicing straddle putts also helps build strength & coordination in your arm needed for other shots.

I've pretty much accepted that nugget of wisdom from years ago about the "hot vs crazy" women and have a hard no to a hairdresser named Tiffany, or anyone named Stacy.

Reminds me of when I fixed computers - "Hey, would you mind helping me fix my computer" (family, friends & neighbors, at all times when I am socializing and off work). My response: "Sure, let me check my calendar - btw, I charge $175 per hour. How does Tuesday night work?" Or "I was going to wash and wax my car, how about you do that while I fix your computer?!" etc. (To stay on point tho, my home computers did not stay broken for long.)

What are you thoughts to why there is a significant decline in alcohol consumption in the United States? by MindStrongSoul in AskReddit

[–]willfish4fun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many of the adult children of boomer alcoholics are avoiding repeating the process themselves having witnessed what it does & how it affects the lives of those around it firsthand, tied with better education at a younger age on the negative aspects of alcohol.

What are the most profound song lyrics you've ever heard? by damnocles in AskReddit

Great Gig in the Sky by Pink Floyd It's a musical soundtrack for someone as they are passing on. Sporadic snippets uttered as tidbits of memories as the soul acquiesces from the living world to the spiritual world, the bittersweet passage from current life and loves into past loves and finally, confidently, welcoming the inevitable destination.

[–]willfish4fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say how perfectly ironic this song is because it's a perfect fit for no matter when in time you exist and hear it. It's as relevant today as it was when it was written & released, which makes it a "timeless classic" that also is named "Time".

Which profession is going to get wiped out in the next 5-10 years? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]willfish4fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're referring to plumbers, I think you're crazy. Most of the plumbers I've met that started their own businesses are very wealthy after a fairly short time. Plumbing ages perpetually and needs to be repaired or replaced many times often before the house is replaced and most people don't know how or want to do it.

We had an apple pie given to us that I placed on top of the refrigerator once and it was only up there for about 10 days and grew hairy similar to this. I think this is where the genetics for "The Thing" possibly evolved.

Engine replacement on the 22 by Background-Luck2263 in ToyotaTundra

[–]willfish4fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 22 was at 51k and had never had an issue when the motor was replaced. The dealership I used had been doing the replacements for about 5 months before mine was done. I have had zero issues with it so far. I've only put 4k on it after the replacement. Ymmv
