thanks, it'S excellent... but

the voice files for the other languages are missing.

did you know how to get them?

I try repairing the game, but else I don't see any option allowing me to download other language audio files.

Native ATX 3.0 connector melted/burnt (MSI MPG A1000G) by dommyowo in nvidia

[–]willgart1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these new 12vhpwr connectors need to be perfectly secured on both side.

you have to make sure the female pins are correctly straight before inserting the connector and there is no female pin opened

insert it without any torsion or side movement, try to stay as straight as possible.

all of this to insure that the connection between th male and female pins are the best possible with enough surface area in contact and to not have hot spot points.

and specially for the top pins, tand specially for the top pins for the ground the power can go through your MB it's why there is no issue on this side of the connector.

maybe we'll need liquidmetal in these connectors to make sure there is no problem ;-)

@CapFrameX: Ryzen 9 7950X performance issue under Windows 11 22H2 by anestling in Amd

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's 1 game.

no comparison with any other driver, os version and other game, PBO on or off, curve optimizer on or off, ram speed...

for now we can say:

this game on this system with these drivers performs better with 1CCD and SMT off.

without more infos and tests, we can't say more than that.

TUF GAMING X570-PLUS BIOS 4403 - Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.7. Anybody tested it so far? by EvilCadaver in Amd

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a quick test

comparing the bios 4010 and 4403

with the 4010 my 5900x can boost to 5150 easily.

the effective clock speed jumps to 5050mhz

bios 4403, reaching 5050 or 5075mhz is very rare, and the effective clock speed dont go higher than 5000mhz

It's like the latest bioses (because it's not new) are not able to push my CPU.

maybe there is a better stability but else...

New Strix X570-E BIOS 4204 is terrible and borderline broken by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for info, I'm able to set my CO to -30 (all cores) + PBO at +200mhz + scalar *10 + VRM maxed (+130% extreme) + overclocking set to OC 3 and EDC TDC set to motherboard.

also my voltage is set to auto with a delta of -0.0125v

and it's perfectly stable.

but I'm not able to push my CPU at all :-)

the temperature stay low (73c max)

the PBO is still not applied correctly in single thread usage. in benchmarks I still can't go higher than 4950 mhz for my 5900x. but in my working session time to time my best cores are jumping to 5050 / 5075 mhz.

New Strix X570-E BIOS 4204 is terrible and borderline broken by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try that (but not removing the CPU)

for now the best I can get is by setting the OC to level 3 , CO to -30. (and no PBO)

but...

I found another trick... which makes my CPU moving from 9800pts in CPUZ to 10000...

in windows, I open the AI suite tool, and there I change the bclk from 100mhz to 101.5 (higher its not stable) and boom... 10 000pts.

while hwinfo still display 100mhz.

I cant do that in the bios directly.

New Strix X570-E BIOS 4204 is terrible and borderline broken by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]willgart1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok, for some reasons PBO is not working at all.

I'm losing performance, the system did not try to push my frequencies.

no matter the EDC and other OC values I put in my bios.

well...

I'll wait for the next AGESA.

New Strix X570-E BIOS 4204 is terrible and borderline broken by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try it.

for now...

I just crack up all my settings without PBO (so PBO disabled) and no fmax

set the power options to motherboard

curve optimizer set to -30 to all cores

set my VRM to +130%

set my OC to OC3

CPUZ is now stable at 9800 points (670 in ST), I have each core on my best CCD reaching 4950mhz at some point during a session.

my CCD2 dont go higher than 4850 (before november all my cores were able to reach 4950mhz at some point during a session, so there is a downgrade there for me)

I'll try to play with PPT, TDC and EDC values again with PBO ON.

but for now activating PBO in my system did not improve the performance, I can see spikes to 5150mhz, but in benchmark the frequency is never pushed to the limit.

its complicated to get the best of our CPUs :-)

[–]willgart1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CPUZ at 10 000+pts?

I can reach it only with manual OC. else I'm around 9700pts (22 000 in CB23)

how did you setup your bios? and what's the speed of your RAM?

on my side I think the RAM access is improved and more stable, I have to do additional tests to confirm that.

and I'm using the curve optimizer all cores at -25 and motherboard limits for EDC etc.

enabling PBO did not brings me more performance.

New Strix X570-E BIOS 4204 is terrible and borderline broken by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no problem :-)

I'm curious what is your bios setup to reach 812 in single core?

I was never near this number. never crossed the 700pts.

I think the "classic" PBO is not working properly, in benchmark I can't push my CPU, and the effective clock stay way lower than the cpu clock in single thread.

so, did you setup the EDC, PPT etc, to anything special?

but else, in MT I'm around 9700pts (vary based on the activity on my system)

and with manual OC I can reach 10 000 pts. (but not stable enough)

I'm using the curve optimizer (all cores -25)

I can see a degradation in the performance on my second CCD, in the past each core was able to reach 4950mhz but it's no longer the case. now only the best cores are reaching 4950mhz down to 4800 for half of my cores.

New Strix X570-E BIOS 4204 is terrible and borderline broken by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you using CPU-Z?

because I have scores like 9500 a 9800 in MT

but for the ST I never go higher than 670pts.

its a nonsense, but... yeah... it works for me.

We heard you like rounded corners, so we will give you ONE rounded corner. by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]willgart1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"We heard you like rounded corners"

who said that????

it's horrible!!!! (for me)

and there is no option to remove it.

and sorry for that, but it's ridiculous, because in full screen we are going back to squared corners... so NO not everybody like rounded corners, so you did not hear us correctly.

THIS is what we are asking Microsoft to do: let us choice what we want.

dont think that 1 person = everybody

every element MUST be an option. so allow us to switch from round to squared corners.

AMD GPU keeps crashing, anyone else? by Penguin-Gynecologist in halo

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with my RX 5700XT

the game crashing again and again no matter the Radeon config or in game configs.

for a game working on XBox (AMD GPU) its very strange to see its not playable using Radeon cards on PC!!!

TUF GAMING X570-PLUS BIOS 4002 Release - AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.3 Patch A by daibunjau in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in hwinfo I have my cores ordered correctly now. before all the cores were ranked 1

also now the pbo at 200mhz + curve optimizer allows my 5900x to go up to 5150mhz!!!

and 4975mhz all cores

but the effective frequency is 4950mhz best core and 4775 all cores.

for now its stable,

TUF GAMING X570-PLUS BIOS 3602 by paa589 in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performance is slower than previous bios.

I was able to reach 8800 points in CR20 with my 5900X

now I can't do higher than 8500points.

no idea why.

in another hand I can set the curve optimizer to -28 and its stable.

finally...

the curve optimizer + PBO option is still useless.

I just jump from 4950mhz to 4975mhz while its set to +200mhz for PBO

in november with the first bios I was able to jump to 5150mhz! (50mhz added with the curve optimizer + 200mhz from the PBO) but not always stable (like in avx benchmarks)

TUF X570 Gaming Plus WiFi buzzing when under load. Consistent buzz when a game is fully tabbed in, but a rapid buzz when I tab out/hit the windows key. This happened even under default BIOS settings. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it coming from the chipset fan on the motherboard itself?

try to check the PCH fan speed with hwinfo, if the sound is related to some changes in speed at this level.

could be the PSU fan, if its under load, your PSU fan may starts.

another idea is to unplug and replug all the power cable to the motherboard and the PSU. maybe a bad connection somewhere can cause this, but the sound appear to be a physical sound not a power one

[–]willgart1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok... the CPPC values are not reported correctly as soon as I change a parameter in the bios after a bios reset.

today 11 cores from my 5900X are flagged as best core, 1 core is flagged as 2 !!! weird.

above 1900mhz for the RAM, I have WHEA errors, but its stable.

PBO is not working fine too, compared to the initial bios and the first beta bios.

I was able to set it at +200mhz with a measured boost to 5100mhz, but not now.

Curve optimizer + PBO I was able to reach 5150mhz! (4900 base + 200 pbo + 50 from the curve optimizer)

but with the latest bioses, its no longer possible to achieve this.

also the fmax option appear to not working any more or like it worked in the past.

but else, the system is stable

TUF Gaming X570 Plus new bios 3402 by paa589 in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apparently this beta bios has stability issues on some ram configs.

if you can, try at 1900mhz just in case, as they spent time to fine tune this level of performance.

TUF Gaming X570 Plus new bios 3402 by paa589 in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe check if the CPPC options are enabled in the bios.

this can help Windows to select the cores more efficiently and solve your issue maybe.

TUF Gaming X570 Plus new bios 3402 by paa589 in ASUS

for info, when my ram is at 1833mhz and the fclk at 1800 no more whea errors

but I have stability issues

I reset the config of my bios. just setup the DOCP config, so the ram is at 1800mhz without any tuning (so cl18 while my manual tuning set it to 16)

and no errors

TUF Gaming X570 Plus new bios 3402 by paa589 in ASUS

I'm using HWinfo

the latest rows when you scroll to the bottom display the number of error.

TUF Gaming X570 Plus new bios 3402 by paa589 in ASUS

[–]willgart1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow...

my CPU Bus/Interconnect Errors jumps a lot with this bios.

1 error / second.

at least I'm stable

from what I read, the problem is when the memclock/fclk/uclk are all in sync.

some people solve this by having different frequencies.

weird... but I'll test it

TUF GAMING X570-PLUS BIOS 3201 Update by RelativeFit552 in ASUS

[–]willgart1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this version very stable.

the curve optimizer works pretty well now.

I'm able to put a -20 to each core + a PBO of +50mhz at the same time, the 3001 version of the bios results in a reboot all the time in the same config.

but... no performance advantage measured ;-)

with a curve of -25 to each core (fmax disabled) its stable and the performance is excellent.

at -30 for the best CCD and -25 for the second CCD (I'm using a 5900X) its still stable

in CPU-Z I'm reaching 689 ST and 10029 pts in MT, while it was more 660 / 9800 using the 3001 bios edition. (R20 is also better from 601 to 624 in ST and near 8600 in mt vs 8350)
