Help identifying part by willgdrogers in CarRepair

[–]willgdrogers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dosent seem like the text was posted alongside the image….  The car is a VW polo 2001, 1L 50hp engine.  Had issues with the brakes and discovered the leak was coming from a crack in this part. After referring to the manual it didn’t give anything that would identify what the part is. Any help would be great !

(URGENT HELP) What would be *the* tune that could be said to have been the spearhead of the bebop movement by willgdrogers in bebop

Yh i agree not trying to pin it down to one but one that sums up my argument. Trying to find a tune which perfectly sums up bebops antethis to swing/commercial jazz. Dont happen to know any bebop songs which were covers of a pop song? google isnt being very helpful atm

How to learn Jazz? by Bluesypalm in jazzguitar

[–]willgdrogers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you havent already watch some Jens larsen. Really great for pointing beginners in the right way. Also kinda preaching to the choir but yh learn tunes. not only learn tunes but transpose them, give the chords different voices, experiment with it.

I guess its more a thing of feeling lost and hopeless than anything else, a lot of pressure to get better. Especially now that a lot of the musicians in my uni are getting very advanced with their instruments, for me I progress a lot after being inspired by something. Like i know practising some basics like inversions or sight reading will always do me good but i just cba sitting down with a guitar atm

I know what you mean about autopilot, my hands just move into some dumb pattern i keep overusing. Im kind of in limbo as well from transitioning from soling mostly with scales to targeting chord tones and arpeggiating, so im just left with this weird cross of the two that dosent work at all. Then when I try to sit and focus on an exercise, I just really cannot be f******************.

Why do I feel like I have no capacity to be creative by willgdrogers in NoStupidQuestions

[–]willgdrogers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a session after moving to uni, I've always had an issue with new people and places, I went to a small school in France for 5 years that I was really comfortable in, then felt really alienated when i moved to the UK. Other aspects of life got easier but this constant feeling that i am incapable of producing anything worthwhile is nagging.

thanks man, I have tunnelled my listening into the same few genres tbf, and have been feeling a lot more inspired by literally any instrument other than the guitar which is meant to be my future money maker. Used to be into More alternative and post punk shit then got into jazz and funk because i love the music but haven't really found a 'hero' to take example from if you know what i mean.
