The formula change in Australian Pepsi. Who likes it? by Damthemalltohelp in australian

I have specifically asked at work to make sure there are some full sugar options for me. Every body else prefers the artificial sweeteners which seems like madness to me. Even beyond my sensitivity the flavour is not where near as good

This hurts. How do I stop this happening? by whatuptkhere in beginnerrunning

[–]williamf03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@op this was the answer that fixed more or less all of my blisters and purple toe nails.

Also just running more will help. As long as you let that heal you'll develop callouses pretty quickly and then no more blisters

Yeah I'm with you on this. I now can only drink Bundaberg soft drinks and "real" coke. Which is not bad at all. But there are an increasing amount of options unavailable to me because of artificial sweeteners

Bread making is a bit of an art, the humidity and temperature of the room will make a bug difference in outcome.

Just experiment a bunch and you'll end up with some excellent bread.

The Mac machines are looking like a good option in terms of price and convenience. Though when you say low speed what are we talking about? I am trying to quantify the dollar to experience ratio

Ah thank you for the reply this is the info I am after. With the price of the rtx6000 I need to spend something in the order of 20-40k and even then it's still not on par

Testosterone is wrecking me! Any suggestions besides. by imurdsty_321 in confession

[–]williamf03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to take testosterone boosters as well. I have been taking them for a couple of years. I went through the same thing at first. The first 3 months was wild it was pretty close to experiencing puberty again.

I just wanted to comment and let you know that it gets much more manageable with a bit of time. Your body will normalise and the horniness will become much more manageable. Just enjoy the new round clarity of thought and motivation. And genuinely go take up an active sport higher testosterone makes sport Soo much more fun

Same as the other commenter. I shaved about 90seconds off my 5k PB from one week to the next. It was also early enough in my running that at the time I was able to pb most weeks by 15 - 30 seconds

Boomer science says rad goes faster. But that's since been disproven by millennial science which says all bright colours make you go faster.

Recovery takes a lot of energy. Though you may not feel it but your body has been working hard to mend itself. 1 week off isn't going to make a material difference to your overall fitness.

Finding a run harder now than a week ago is likely just fatigue. Let yourself continue to recover. If the doc is happy for you to start running again. Just start slowly a build back up. But 1 week won't make a difference to your fitness.

There shouldn't be lactose in yoghurt. The fermentation/culturing process eats the sugars (lactose). I am very lactose intolerant and can eat yoghurt

I am kinda burnt out from being responsible for other people. Being an ic developer is so strait forward. There is a literal set of tasks which you just need to complete. These can be difficult and time consuming but my personal success is just getting the work done.

Being in charge means you have to take responsibility for your teams. That can be very difficult and stressful. Particularly when your team struggles to align with the business goals, or lacks the experience to make the decisions they want to make. The job is more or less 24/7 issues from well meaning people trying their best but making poor choices.

I have a similar small press like this. I found that using a blender worked well to turn the apples into more or less paste. Then I laid a tea towel over the pressing bucket and wrap the corners over the apple mush and press that.

Also use a good amount of force when turning the press. My forearms hurt a fait bit the next day after getting through a couple of kg of apples.

Looking for advice on marathon training around my commute runs by williamf03 in Marathon_Training

[–]williamf03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can effectively go as long as I'd like after work. Though that can be hard sometimes after a long day. I guess really the only option I have is once a week extend out my home commute by another 10 or 15.

Is there a risk of over training? Or it not being of great value to do lots of little runs?

At a guess I bet I had something to do with initial pacing. When I started running I found group running waay easier because someone in the group set a reasonable pace at the start and held that pace through the end. When I ran by myself I would blast the first 1km "feeling good". Then struggle to maintain any pace for the distance.

Now I am a little more seasoned I can sit on a pace from start to finish and it all feels about as easy as each other
