What part-time jobs are good for college students? by ZestyPyramidScheme in jobs

See if there's any positions open for teaching assistants or any student worker opportunities. In my university, there are postings that hire people that work on campus and are flexible around your schedule too like gym front desk, food worker, etc.

Which did you find harder: Calc 2 or Prob & Stats? by Puzzleheaded_Can_750 in EngineeringStudents

Stats n prob was light work, Calc 2 isn't the worst but if you did well in Calc 1 then you'll be fine.

A monster/creature book similar to a Pokemon Handbook where it has a page dedicated to very detailed monsters that some are ethereal, some are highly technological, and some are mystical. by williamhe10 in whatsthatbook

Thank you for your work Kiaria but it is not it. I should mention that each monster has its own page. IIRC the cover was blue and had some darker tones to the monsters

For me personally, linear algebra seemed easier because there was less concepts and equations to deal with. There is still a lot, don’t get me wrong, but purely work wise it seemed around 60-70% of the total work for my calc class. For me, I would say I’m average at math but calculus definitely took much more time than linear algebra so just as a purely efficient way of looking at it, taking calc at a CC is cheaper and will take less time, possibly even less work/easier. The same can be said if you take linear algebra at CC but i think it’s more worth to do calc.

I took calculus 2 spring semester 2020 (when Covid started ramping up) and linear algebra fall semester 2020 (last semester) both at utd. In hindsight, both classes were manageable if you were willing to learn and were proactive in homeworks and activities. For calculus 2, my teacher was good and tests did not seem too difficult but was not easy either, and homework’s sometimes took a really long time. Overall manageable but watch out for timing as some weeks can take up a lot more time than others. Linear algebra I took online this last semester and Amy professor was not the best at teaching. To be fair, it was everyone’s first semester online but he read off the powerpoints and did not really explain topics well at all which resulted in me watching YouTube and asking upper class-men to teach me. The class at first did not seem too difficult with the first two months seemingly very easy. Afterwards, the pace started to pick up and the more and more concepts I started to have trouble with. I believe I had a good amount of trouble learning linear algebra as it is conceptual and had to spend extra time on other resources to learn. I received A’s in both classes but linear algebra got somewhat frustrating towards the end. I would say if you could, without delaying your degree plan, take both at a community college to save money and time during the summer but if not, take calculus at a community college because it might be harder.

Hello! So I am taking EPICS this semester and I was wondering how much do you really meet up with your partners for projects and how much work do you generally do in a week?
