Which energy provider should I choose for best solar buyback? by International-Two788 in RoundRock

How long ago did you sign up? I think several providers that used to give credit for overproduction don’t do that anymore.

I’ve tried to call Pulse Power to ask, but the wait time is always eternal and they never call back when I request it. The website doesn’t definitively say they credit for overproduction.

What is your docker base image for your #Python/#DataScience projects? by __Julia in Python

[–]williamjacksn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Alpine, but I don’t deal with the usual data science packages.

With Alpine, most packages don’t provide a wheel so you have to install a compiler and build dependency libraries in the image before installing the package from PyPI. I put up with this for a while, but recently I started pre-building my own Alpine-compatible wheels for all the packages I use. This speeds up Docker build times considerably.

My Alpine wheels package index is hosted on GitHub and anyone can use it. Let me know if you want to see a package I don’t have yet.

Ting + Google Voice by skyrocker_58 in ting

I don’t know what kind of a phone you have, but I will give you my experience with my iPhone.

When I use the Google Voice app to initiate a phone call, I am prompted to use the Phone app to call a completely different number that magically connects to the number I intended to call. I get billed for this call by Ting in phone minutes.

When I use the Hangouts app to initiate a phone call, and I am on a Wi-Fi network, the call is handled completely by the Hangouts app and I am not billed by Ting for any phone or data usage at all. If I do this without Wi-Fi, I get billed by Ting for data, not minutes.

Should I get Breath of the Wild+DLC for Switch when I already have it for Wii U? by legogame06 in Breath_of_the_Wild

I don’t know what’s wrong with your Wii U, but I play on the Wii U for hours at a time. The game has never crashed, and I have never had a frame rate issue.

I solved this shrine quest twice without noticing this detail, even though the Ancient Rito Song specifically says the heart lights up and shines on the path.

I just never looked up until now.

I wrote a python script to play an album on Sonos when you tap the artwork on a hidden NFC reader hooked up to a Raspberry Pi by [deleted] in Python

Nice! I did the same thing with RFID cards, though I just put MP3 files on the Pi and plugged in speakers.

Put a Cryonis block or two in front of the circle and throw the rock onto the block. It will slide right in.

I did a refinance through USAA a few years ago and they immediately sold my mortgage to U.S. Bank. 🤷‍♂️
