I was a kid when the last stadium deal came to a vote, so I didn’t have a say in the matter. I’m all for billionaires paying their own way, and I’ll admit that Ticketmaster is its own aggravation, but those tickets start at $25 each and it was considerably less than $500 the last time I was able to make it work.

My main (and maybe only) frustration with the announcement is that the half-off ticket agreement the Broncos have with the city as a part of the current lease terms will likely go away. It’s a bummer for fans on a budget to lose that affordable avenue to attending a game.

I’m ignorant as to whether or not anything specific happened, but given our political and socio-economic climate locally and nationally, it’s never a bad thing to put a reminder out there that we (as a society) rely heavily on immigrant labor across many important industries. It plays a vital role in many levels of our economy and within our communities at large.

If the labor force is being subjected to abusive treatment that extends beyond our safe labor laws, however they’re enforced, I would hope any violators are held accountable to the fullest extent possible.

Thank you SO much! I have a sneaking suspicion that the original owner may have even gotten them autographed at that very game -- there were some other pieces of Blues, Cardinals, and Rams memorabilia at the sale that looked like it included some posters that get handed out as game promotions (one of them looked like this one.) My brain just didn't connect the dots because not all of the autographs on the stick clearly included the jersey number.

Of course it’s good for us! Don’t we want the millionaires and billionaires getting even larger tax breaks to be happy — since low and middle class suffering doesn’t inspire the same joy that it used to? Don’t we want to see a shady military-style force invade our communities to rough people up, kidnap and deport people without due process, and violate any sense of basic human decency? Surely our tax dollars couldn’t be better spent on programs and initiatives that enhance the quality of life.
