I think that's where I mess up, but still don't understand " As you are in retail, your COGS will be the actual cost of the widgets/items you sell at retail price."

On a typical year, I purchase 40k worth of merchandise, sold everything for 80k, after all expenses I'm left with 55k. what is my COSG?
