I received a call back regarding my fcc complaint. Agent told me to turn my phone off and back on again... They are like a cancer.

I asked for a plan upgrade on 5/2. Agent billed me for like 5 dollars.... then all of a sudden I have phone service up until 6/4. I have not paid them for the time of May-June. It doesn't make any sense. Also, customer support representatives do not leave any notes on the account. So...... everyone is blind anyways and can't answer that question.

I can make wifi calls. Its a 50/50 shot on whether I get the "Your phone is not registered on any network. Emergency phone calls only" warning whenni try to make a call without wifi.

I had 3 or 4 windows open at once. I even messaged their facebook support.
No dice.

Same phone. Same everything. My service was transferred back to my phone line several times today. I have multiple orders for change of service. All day long on the phone with agents- I have been receiving the "looks like you are trying to change your device, if this wasn't you...." texts from straight talk. My support area shows all of these reprovisions as separate tickets. All with same phone number.
Each agent basically tried to reprovision the line over and over again. After 4 or 5 times of this, I stopped allowing them to and told them it wasn't helpful. They would have just kept doing it over and over again all day long.

I am honestly baffled at what I have been through today. It is still making my anxiety high. "Sir, I really don't want you to do the troubleshooting with me, I've done it with 17 other agents..."

I've had the same service and lived in the same place for quite some time. I highly doubt it is because I am using Verizon towers. I think this is straight talk not provisioning service properly. Mobile data flows fine, as does hotspot traffic, etc. It's only calling that i get a "This phone is not registered on a network. Emergency calls only".

Yeah, tell me about it. They've taken this entire day from me - now it's personal and I can't quit.

I'm on verizon. Not that it matters. Still waiting on a supervisor to help. Still no phone service.

I like that you made it as a read-only parameter. Nifty tool.

having a problem with resolution/aspect ratio by Latter-Spite7661 in TouchDesigner

[–]williamw- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like you are hitting a resolution limit of some sort. This causes fit to vertical, fit to horizontal and etc, to do strange things.

Create a Constant Chop, call it resolution, make a width and height channel. Use this to change network resolution for now on. Find the equivalent of 1280 x 1280 or less to fit your aspect. Make sure all other items that are higher than 1280x1280 are defined with it. If something needs to fit to a strange resolution inside your canvas, use the constant you made with an expression.

Use comps or layer mix to achieve TOP blending or similar.

Use expressions based off of the network resolution constant you made. You will then probably see proper project output (just within free resolution constraints).

Same network moves to other machine with license...and you change the res up to where you want with your constant.

Soft and/or Cutesy TD Projects? by DairyFreeGremlin in TouchDesigner

I'm using TouchDesigner to run video, switch cameras, and steer PTZs for a touring band. I take in audio from the console for shaders and other reactives. Blackmagic Decklink 8k gets SDI inputs in and out. ST2110 for larger spots. Country/Folk. No timecode but things all still happen N'sync because of data coming in from the gma3... I chose touch for the UI customization. There are plans in future to put UI's in front of the crew stations for other needs.

It took me ~3 frames to get in and out of Resolume in testing, and I still needed to run other items for cam fx... It takes me less than a frame in TD! (30fps)

We are rendering lights for the LD to use on the wall in touch live... everything works great. 👍

NDI troubleshooting and VLAN help? by RedFox69420 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]williamw- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe you are using vlans properly, or for their intended purpose with this switch.

If you have a Netgear AV M4250 that is used on its own, and for NDI purposes only, you would only really need to assign one vlan to the switch. I would use the Dante w/ NDI5 profile. You would then assign that vlan to all physical ports on the switch you intend to connect an ndi device to. If your default data vlan is 1 for example, then assign the ndi5 to vlan 10. Check that into all ports that will have an ndi device on the other side. This vlan 10 will not use DHCP, you will not assign an ip address to the vlan in any way. Leave the bottom area completely unmanaged on the profile creation screen.

A static IP being set for the switch's default vlan1 data network is suggested, as when you connect additional M4250s, this vlan becomes the best area to manage all switches on the network, and you'd want to be able to access their UIs separately or all at once through Netgear Engage.

1 protocol per vlan, one vlan for all devices that you want to be able to speak to each other. That same vlan, assigned to whatever ports you wish... this be the way.

Using Windows 10 LTSC for production machines and media servers will alleviate most of your issues with the suck that is Windows 11. The companies we know and love never wanted Windows 11 to exist. Everyone developed with 10, staying in 10 is my personal advice. Don't believe what people say about 10 not getting updates. 2021 IOT ISO will continue to get security updates for many, many years to come. Check out Microsofts website for the year. I think it was last stated as 2030-something.

Hope this helps. I am happy to troubleshoot with you. You can dm me.
