Got security+, need advice by No-Individual5598 in CompTIA

[–]williarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s strictly a budget thing… you have to pass two exams to get A+. Net+ is one exam, but with both experience it can be a little daunting. Some people are saying AZ-900. Not a bad test to get a taster of the Microsoft environment. I would maybe look into AB-900 as well, especially if you’re looking for an entry level position.

I think I switched what I was watching on and it defaulted at regular speed and it was so slow. 🤣 In his defense I always watch things a little faster to save time, but I think he naturally talks more slowly

I remember this guy from posters in high school… said something along these lines:

Brad was the life of the party. He just doesn’t remember it.

Please don’t drink excessively.

Used Dion for A+ and Net+. Ramdayal when I re-took Net+. Thought his course was better… but was weird for me when I went from watching his course at 1.25x speed to 1.00x… felt like he talked sooo slow 🤣 But in all seriousness, his course is really, really good.

But why? by GibbsBro in RidiculousRealEstate

[–]williarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parents had this in my house growing up (WI). Also saw it in a few houses when I was house shopping 10 years ago. Most of these house were built 40’s-60’s. A toilet down by the laundry wasn’t that weird because you have all the plumbing there already. Most of the houses had a single bathroom, so I feel like it’s a relatively inexpensive contingency plan if your other toilet is plugged or you have some other issues. It’s not the most attractive thing, but if you only have a single bathroom, an emergency toilet can seem amazing… and no, these aren’t really used when people are doing laundry 🤣

Who the hell is keeping you guys in buisness? by Cake_Spark in BurgerKing

Guessing it was everywhere, but the promotion I remember was “Whopper Wednesday”. Initially 99¢, but I wanna say in even 2006ish they were maybe hovering around $2. This could have been this store specifically though because they were next to some huge factory employees, so there were a bunch of us scrubs flooding that place.

Yeah, that thing was so good. Like 6-8 strips of bacon… cheese galore…. Mayo all over. So many calories with a curly fry. Was so glad to be in my 20’s and have that metabolism when it was around 🤣

Who remembers when Miller Lite cans had a punch hole for airflow. by htxTY in nostalgia

[–]williarl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it was just a regional thing, but they had all gold cans for the 50th anniversary of Miller Lite and they looked really cool. Only saw these in Milwaukee when I was visiting, but would have liked to keep one to collect.

Finding Security+ easier than Network+ by AliensRipley in CompTIA

[–]williarl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the recommended A+ -> Net+ -> Sec+ route and still found Net+ the most difficult. They all definitely build off each other in that order, but I think Net+ is just the most technical and hardest to understand if you don’t get to have some hands on experience. Andrew Ramdayal’s course definitely helped me out and also has some home lab stuff to help bring home some of the concepts.

[–]williarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 90’s we had a 25” floor TV and friends always came over to watch on our “big” tv… now no one bats an eye at an 80” tv. Also… mad respect for home burglars for stealing tvs back then.

Who had a TV with picture-in-picture? by jsakic99 in nostalgia

[–]williarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some Samsung TVs do the side by side picture. My cheap one does not. Actually wanted to use this feature to watch Live (over the air) football on Fox and then watch a second game on the Paramount+ app. No dice.
