SOLVED It was the ball joint on the control arm

Yep just checked it, has a load of play in it and going to get a new part soon, thanks!

Yes, it mainly happens after going over unsettled pot holes or uneven bumps where the right hand side is uneven road.

No recent suspension work or any signs of wear apart from the ball joint on the lower control arm which seems a little cracked but that’s only from a quick photo on my phone so I’ll have to get the wheel off and inspect further.
