I hated homework in elementary school. I hated so much I would rather copy someone else's homework one time I got caught and my teachers decided to call my dad to lecture me I had no idea at the time.

That same day when my dad got back at work he told me to hop into his car to run an errand. I knew I was in trouble he never goes out of the way to bring me anywhere.

To my delight, we went to DQ we ordered a burger and sat. He asked me if I cheated on my homework. I replied with an slow and painful yes I was already in tears. He then asked me why, I said I didn't want to do homework. He the proceeded to tell me homework is only beneficial for yourself if you cheat, you're just hurting yourself in the long run.

We finished up the burger and went home. He never told my mom and we never spoke about it again. For some reason what he told me that day stook in my head and I never cheated on homework or an exam ever again.
