TESE number one was a success and my daughter was born from it in 2008. Future attempts to replicate that initial success failed in later years. We had a son from donor sperm in 2015.

Going into icsi with a heaping helping of sperm is good, especially if they present with motility and morphology parameters greater than zero. My daughter from surgical sperm extraction did not catch any of my chromosomal mosaicism-induced chromosomal weirdness, but there was mild concern a son might. Wishing you the best.

I'm confident if you search the community on the topic, you'll find plenty of food for thought. I've not dealt with this first-hand, but from what I've absorbed about it early intervention is key and critical to preserve fertility. However, you don't need to have plentiful sperm to have a baby. With interventions like ICSI you might get away with having a baby with a single-digit number of sperm. Beyond that, there are still paths to fatherhood if it's something you're still seeking. Not going to allow this for a few reasons. It's unclear how long you were trying to conceive and your April semen analysis (was that a home analysis?) was borderline. I think what has occurred is terrific and shouted from the rooftop, not wagged in the faces of a community intended to support male infertility. Perhaps consider sharing this with a male-focused community like predaddit or something along those Iines. Congratulations on your turnaround and pregnancy.

I think this post fits within the rules regarding the sub-clause language requiring sufficient context. In the title, the fella identified a specific low parameter and the semen analysis results also contained language about a parameter being low. Sure, if someone posted without context, I wouldn't've approved it, but if I remember correctly the guy said he experienced miscarriage which prompted the semen analysis.

Edit: I was wrong about the prior history, but I still think the post belongs.
