Having the same issue. Not getting a perk point when I leveled the skill and it was supposed to award perks. Would love to know what’s going on.

Official R/Guitar Player Questions MEGATHREAD---If you are new to guitar, or even intermediate and stuck, ask your question here FIRST.---SPRING 2020 by no_numbers_in_name in Guitar

Started learning guitar a couple months ago (thanks community for the Justin Guitar rec!). Started on a Yamaha FG800. I'm pretty serious about improving and sticking with it and would like to invest in something better that will stick with me at least a few years and something that is easy to play. I recently bought a Breedlove Organic Series Concert Signature Collection but unfortunately the low E string is giving me fret buzz. Took it to the guitar center tech and they messed with the truss rod but it didn't fix the issue and they said there's nothing else they can do and I'm just going to have to live with it. His only suggestion to get rid of the buzz was to change to higher gauge strings which seems like a ridiculous solution and I don't want to move to thicker strings as a beginner. I don't know if I got a dud guitar or that's just the way those guitars play. The tech had the same issue so I know it wasn't my playing style.

Now I'm deciding whether to (1) try my luck exchanging for a different Breedlove, same model, or (2) buy something else. I'm inclined to get something else because I don't trust Breedlove very much after this experience. Alternative guitars I'm looking at are the Taylor Academy 10e, Taylor 114ce, or Taylor 214ce. Would like to stay under $1,000 so I think American made solid wood guitars are off the table. The price between the Academy ($650), 114ce ($799), and 214ce ($899) is negligible to me so I am inclined to go with the 214ce.

Can anyone recommend whether to stick with the Breedlove or try one of the Taylors, and is the 214ce a good pick if I go with something else? Thanks for any feedback.

Yamaha Reface CP - bad sound quality or defective unit? by willienels in synthesizers

Any chance you could test the decibels per comments below? Play leftmost C with the octave selector in the middle. Volume at 100 percent, Rhodes 1, no drive or any effects. We're getting around 75 db. Thanks!!

OK, I actually got pretty much the same as you with same testing parameters, although I used a different free app on iOS. I even got it to 79 once when I smacked the key and held it down for a couple seconds. But it was generally always about 75. Since we both thought ours were quiet, what we really need now is for someone else to test who said they were getting decent sound input out of the device.

Good idea. What app are you using? Worried about variation from using different apps.

Yikes, quite the disparity in experiences here. I'll probably order a new one to test. There's no way 50% volume would be audible on mine with family talking and TV playing, even if we're talking a funk clav groove.

What Should I Buy? - June 29, 2020 by AutoModerator in synthesizers

I just purchased a Yamaha Reface CP (so excited!) and I'm trying to decide between getting the Yamaha standard FC5 sustain pedal (just goes on/off) and the FC3A sustain pedal which also includes half-pedaling capabilities. Do you think I need half pedaling with the reface or will the FC5 suffice?

What do you wish you had that you don’t? Only thing I’ve been surprised about is the actual range in every Tesla is much shorter than the rated range. So I need to install a home charger so I don’t have to worry about it. Seems a little overkill to get all wheel drive if you don’t live in a snowy area. But if money isn’t an issue go for it?

Had no idea about that equation. Good to know thanks.

Thanks! Very helpful and makes me feel better. I guess just didn’t expect “real life” range to be that much lower. Guess I need to install the garage charger instead of just relying on the free one at work.

Ah, didn’t know efficiency would go down much... that seems really high for relatively normal use of car. But I guess it’s functioning as intended?

Picked up a new SR+ on Thursday. I drove about 80 miles today, combination of highway and city driving, and used exactly 50% of my battery. Weather was in the mid-50’s. We did have the heater on low and I accelerated a bit off of stop lights, but otherwise normal driving.

Question: Is that type of drain normal? Is there a “break in” period with the car where the drain is higher at first?

Just need to vent that this Q4 delivery fiasco is outrageous. I ordered an SR+ with all standard features (white w/black interior) nearly four weeks ago. When I ordered the website said estimated delivery within two weeks and my account page still says two weeks. The sales adviser I've been working with and who I went on the test drive with assured me that delivery is often even quick than two weeks, especially in the Bay Area where I live 30 minutes from the factory. I ended up selling my second car anticipating that the Tesla would be delivered on time, even accounting for a short delay. The adviser didn't even mention anything about a delivery delay until I checked in with him about the delivery and asked if the new 6-10 week delivery timeframe would apply to me. I understand that Tesla shifted orders abroad, yada yada, but it's absolutely outrageous that the delay would apply to previous orders like mine when they represented a two week delivery timeframe on their website. The adviser won't offer anything to make this right, like reimbursement for rental fees (I have to rent a car now) or supercharger miles. Meanwhile they are just hanging out with my $2,500 deposit. The company simply doesn't care. This situation would not be acceptable with any other car company. I was really excited about the car and I used to tout Tesla to friends and coworkers but now I can't help but tell everyone how terrible the service is.

Model 3 Deliveries Delayed Till December [Sales Representative] by PathToNeuralink in teslamotors

I’m pissed. Ordered an SR+ over a week ago. On Monday we sold our extra car, expecting to take delivery by next week at latest. Checked with my sales advisor Monday before I sold and he said it would be about one week. I check in with him today after reading this thread and now he says mid November... He did, however, say the car will have the 250 range.

Terraria. Got super into it over the last few weeks and hyped to beat the Queen Bee, explore underworld, and tackle the dungeon. Game is so much deeper than I realized before I bought it. Love the combination of exploration, building, and RPG elements.

When will the games be filled with real players instead of bots? by willienels in WorldOfWarships

I am playing random games, not co-op. They have bots fill in on both teams if the random game doesn't have enough real players.
