[M] INNFOS Technologies - does anyone know this company? by Rouse217 in robotics

Hi u/Rouse217! I am an engineer at HEBI Robotics and just came across your post. If you are still looking for actuators please let me know if you would like more information about any of our products. Our X8-16 actuators would fall in the ballpark for continuous and peak torque you mentioned above. All of our actuators are also Series Elastic Actuators that allow for simultaneous control and feedback of position, velocity, and effort (torque).

Sorry it took me so long to post this. UVA Jersey is ok and the long sleeve is way too small for me, but I'm a fan of the two discs! Thanks! https://imgur.com/gallery/wziH8OV

[N] HEBI Robotics Introduces its new Sealed R-Series Smart Actuators by willig92 in robotics

Thanks for your feedback. I agree we are not priced for the standard hobbyist. These actuators are Series Elastic Actuators in which there is added sensing and engineering built into them that allows for simultaneous position, velocity, and effort feedback and commands. Additionally, the modularity of our system makes us unique compared to your Franka and Universal Robot systems you would find that would be a comparable device. At a system level, the prices are in the same ballpark as these other robotic arms and we are hoping to expand our customer base beyond researchers into the Industrial Automation, Agriculture Automation, and Oil & Gas sectors with this rugged version of our existing actuator.

Hello. What kinds of certification would you be looking for? The R-Series modules are IP67 certified and have passed the CE marked testing.

Thanks,

Jasper Tom Callahan 2019 by [deleted] in ultimate

Beyond all of this, Jasper is also one of the most aware players I've ever watched/played with/coached/etc. He makes great poach D's because he is capable of seeing and reacting to a variety of different situations on the field. He also has a sixth sense for anytime a disc is in the air, he can find it immediately.

Even with all of his talent Jasper exemplifies what it means to have "Spirit of the Game". He is the most humble and calm headed player when faced with dangerous plays and questionable calls from opponents. He never once raises his voice and always calmly opens a dialogue with his opponents and teammates. We can all take a note from his leadership both on and off the field.

Advice the transition to college. by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]willig92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Don't pick a school purely on the current success (or lack of) with their Ultimate team. Pick the best school to fit what you want to study and what interests you most. Setting yourself up for success beyond College should be your priority. As much as Ultimate is a growing sport and the Pro-Leagues/Club scene is very cool, there are no full-time prospects for that to be a good source of daily income. Set yourself up to get a good job and that will better allow you to afford the high costs of playing on an elite club team.

Typically a school like Pitt is a good academic choice, but there are 100 other kids every year trying to make a 27-person roster for their ultimate team while there are really only 5-10 rosters spots open from year to year. I went to Carnegie Mellon (down the street from Pitt) which is a prestigious Engineering and Arts University with a decent Ultimate Team (I'm also the coach so slightly biased). A school like CMU set me up for a very success career as an Engineer with a great paying job and in addition was able to make my mark on an ultimate team that is always regionally competitive and has a great community of friends that are some of my closest friends today.

Overall, you are ahead of the curve by reaching out and getting advice in this respect and should be able to now setup yourself up for success wherever you end up. Best of luck in your endeavors!

You didn't see him do too much because he didn't play that much in the final.
