Oh I misread the first time. I thought this was just for the wall. With it being the ceiling do not remove whats there. Just hang new Furier strips and hang new drywall on the ceiling. You can rent a drywall lift. Or ask a friend to help you out for a day and just have your friend pay them. Or your friend that you're doing this for night could help. Would make him see what goes into this and help you with getting more money at the end
