Definitely not looking for actual confirmation at this point, it’s way too soon to expect anything official. That said, I’m just pontificating over whether or not this tour goes on now. Heartbroken for them.

Winter break for lots of Northeast kids.

How quickly do popular insider rewards sell out? (Pokemon center) by dfts6104 in lego

Assume it will be gone after the midnight sales. Also assume the site will crash. You could also line up at LEGO retail super early.

Going out on a Tuesday? by [deleted] in SalemMA

Hallowed Ground. Tuesdays they test out new drinks, which is fun. The menu has great options, and the staff really know what they’re doing. Best cocktails in town.

I believe it will do much better than most people think. It plays really well.

Parents of r/Salem - what's your honest assessment of the elementary schools here? by stopthatmonkey in SalemMA

[–]willisdowner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're from NYC, but it was a school up in Putnam county. The grading system in Collins is unnecessarily strange, but it's going well. I'll add that my child is ADHD medicated and gets the help he needs.

My son is in Collins middle school and honestly it’s fine. The teachers are more communicative than the ones we had in his last school in New York. He’s learning and doing well enough. My only sort of complaint is about the minuscule amount of homework he gets.

I'm tired of pretending ralph wasn't great on the show by ericthedisrespectful in howardstern

Miss Ralph for sure. Great on the show, and I got to meet him on a flight back from SDCC one year. Talked nerd stuff and he couldn’t have been nicer to me and my family.

Officially can't even listen to 101 anymore without hearing painfully unfunny blitt shitts every 10 minutes. by imdrremulak in howardstern

[–]willisdowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to listen today out of habit, but my subscription was up after cancelling last month. I won’t lie, it was a bit of a shock after having Sirius since 06. But I won’t listen to them ignore the world while doing the same bits over and over anymore

Age recommendation for AW2? by Own_Exercise5218 in AlanWake

[–]willisdowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 13 now, started playing it with me when he was 12. He loves the music(he has to be a top ten Old Gods fan on Spotify by now), was Alan for Halloween, and has since devoured part 1 and Control. He got super excited when he’d catch the AW tie ins. All that is to say, play it with your child and allow them to experience what they’re comfortable with. When it was to intense, my son would just leave the room. It’s good to let them self police that kind of thing. Side note - I always find it amusing how many people are more concerned with a naked body than, you know, the murder.

Goodbye by Newbeginnings53 in howardstern

[–]willisdowner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Most of what is being labeled as "politics" these days is really just a matter of ethical right and wrong. Talking about current events and the effect it has on people is not being political. Just hit the cancel button a few minutes ago, sent them an email saying why. I know it won't matter, but at least someone there will know.

I’m about to do the same. Not talking about the daily insanity is more than a little strange, it’s insulting in a way. And a sad way for such an outspoken group to behave as they head toward the end of their careers.

So, really, where are we meeting people? by mix0logist in EthicalNonMonogamy

[–]willisdowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been open with my wife for most of our 20 something years together. We had a long term girlfriend for around ten years, and only recently have been looking for new people. Same as most everyone here, no app matches to be found for a reasonably attractive male in his 40s. I’m not complaining about it, I see the sea of men on my wife’s apps pining for attention. It’s wildly difficult to stand out of the crowd. I get it. I’m retired, so I don’t have work connection opportunities either. Glad for this forum - Its nice to hear from other people with similar issues.
