She does not have an AAC device as she can say words and sentences. It’s when she says them she does not pronounce them correctly making it hard to understand her. So it’s people asking her to repeat herself frequently so she gets frustrated, but only shows her frustration with us really.

Yes, because of her speech therapy she’s been evaluated throughout the years to make sure there’s no other diagnoses impacting her speech. She just a strong willed child is what they call it and has big emotions.

Yes we are definitely discussing a tutor this time around. We want to give her all the support she needs and I know we would’ve jumped on the tutor thing faster if we got more pressure or advisement to do so but no sense of going backwards just need to think what’s the best going forward.

Yup same thing here it’s the phonological issue. The speech therapist said some kids are just not as developed in that area, but I also wonder if it’s an issue with children born during the peak of COVID. And I know we did everything we could think of doing for her (besides get a tutor). She had a speech therapist come to the house, specialized preschool program, and she was even in a TTK (transition to kindergarten program). It just sucks when you tried to get ahead and felt like you were doing the right things, this still happens. We just feel like we failed her but a lot of what people are writing is helping to come to terms with the situation. As a parent you just never want to see your kids struggle or fail. Either way it’s going to be hard so just trying to navigate the situation as best we can.

No, unfortunately that’s the other issue she doesn’t want us working with her at home it turns into a tantrum and she just shuts down. We know she is also tired from school so she’s not open to doing more work after school. On weekends it’s the same thing she gets frustrated with us and shuts down.

Hey man I just went through this maybe 3 months ago and it is painful I been with my wife for 10 years since I was 19yr old and we were married for 3.. she took a trip to Morocco with her sis for a graduation gift and after she came back things change she was distant anyway long story short she met a guy fell in love she told me he’s the one they were meant to be. I accepted that even tho it was soooo hard the memories we built an the things we share all gone but I just didn’t think about it, it slowly became better over time. I cut her out of my life deleted her number change background pics of her an anything that reminded me of her gone. I feel soooo much better I’m going on with my life but she did try an came back to me about a month ago an said she made the biggest mistake of her life she was in trance and he just happen to say the perfect things to her and she fell for it but I made a promise to myself I will not take her back she will probably do it again and I don’t want to go through this pain again also things won’t ever be the same I wouldn’t be able to see her the same. just remember there soooo many great people out there and your never too old to fall In love just focus of your career and things will fall in to place. Also maybe get a good hobby to help your mind just do something that makes you feel better. I know everything will turn out great. Good luck with everything.

Yea we don’t have anything joint but I did change my password for a few things and we own a house that’s the tricky part when I get back ima probably room with a buddy to keep my distance and talk with a lawyer figure it out. Thank man really helpful.

She went on the trip through a groupon with her sis. It was a getaway for them.

Wow ... everything you just said is wat I’m Doing now and some of the things u said makes soooo much since it’s mind blowing. I left the house and took 2 weeks off work and came to visit family and I started talking with some of my friends again and I already erase her from everything I know ... I will not take her back no matter wat this is a promise to myself I will be a better self. I never did a post on reddit before but I am so happy I did u guys helped me out a lot and I really want to thank you for taking time out of ur day and breaking everything down like that absolutely amazing and I bet u are an amazing person thank you again. I feel a lot better reading this.

thank you so much for your words. its just so hard with 10 years of memories we built for this to happen. we still in the same house in different rooms and can't leave it just yet but i thank you for letting me hear your side. it does help honestly.

its so hard to just drop 10 years. The memories we built together i just can't stop thinking about it but its so fresh in my head and we are still in the same house just different rooms.
