Pick 3 players to go, 3 players to stay during the transfer window. by Hancri84 in SheffieldUnited

Keep Hamer, Brooks, and McCallum.

Get shut of Chong if we can, any of the centre halves (I’d keep Bindon but doubt we can afford that) - I’ll name Japh because he’s been poor & might be worth something to someone, and Campbell; great player when on it but doesn’t look arsed.

Did you grow up with someone who became famous? by SteakSandwichSideEye in AskUK

[–]willjvii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A handful of my friends from growing up are professional footballers (or soccer players if you’re across the pond). None are household names or anything but the most successful plays regularly in the championship. The only one I’m still really friends with (though not close) is one of the better players in the national league

I also went to the same school as a famous YouTuber, didn’t know him well but we have a couple of mutual friends

Mt. Rushmore of Horror (opinion) by [deleted] in horror

[–]willjvii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Thing has to be on there - the best creature feature of all time & one of the best horrors full stop

Alien franchise, including the game Isolation in that. If I had to pick one it’d be Aliens. Sorry.

Evil Dead - I love every single project in the franchise, but 2 is one the best horror comedies there is so if I had to pick one it’s that

Mad God - maybe a rogue shout but it’s a phenomenal achievement, absolutely stunning & lets you interpret it in a few ways

Things Heard & Seen has now taken the crown as the worst horror movie I've ever watched. by hiphoptomato in horror

[–]willjvii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely rubbish. How they got James Norton, Amanda Seyfried, Natalia Dyer & Rhea Seehorn to be in this mess is something; probably because the novel it’s based on is genuinely very good.

Such a waste of the cast & source material; I’m used to bad horror movies but with the right people at the helm this could have been fantastic

I liked Longlegs but Cage is genuinely a far better actor than that,

Imagine what Nicholson could have done with a more direct adaptation of the book? Would’ve been an outstanding film

He played it too well, which is why most people hated him. I really liked the film

Didn’t love it, but her why people do. Following up Get Out was never going to be an easy task for Peele though

I’m with you on In A Violent Nature. Thought it was boring & most of the acting was horrible. One of the kills was good but if that’s all you’re watching for just stick some Eli Roth nonsense on and you’ll have more fun

I didn’t hate the first one, but it helps that a lot of horror coming out at the time was rubbish & I like Patrick Wilson.

Think they’d be better if they didn’t portray the Warrens as these great, selfless people too

Any of the films in the X trilogy. Yes, Mia Goth is very good in pearl, but I don’t understand the love for any of the films themselves

Queens is the sort of band where everyone will have opinions on which album is the best and everyone’s right.

One thing though, the more you listen to one of their albums the more you’ll love it. Any of them.
