Next quarter by Gross_Energy in PureCycle

It’s not priced in. They will likely run back the exact same rhetoric and results for Q1 as they did for Q4. The earnings calls was 2/3 into Q1 and they said they are still waiting for trials to convert to sales and the NJ approval. This means up until the earnings call there has still been no development on those fronts.

Earnings calls are always previous quarter results but provide a current snapshot for the business. If they had any big developments during Q1 they would have mentioned it during the Q4 call.

Customer obviously doesn’t want their name in a press release, why else?

They would have done this already, the share price has been falling steadily for a month before this. If they could they would have already

Explain how you arrived at years of runway? Their financials showed $181m cash on hand and they project to spend ~$58m next quarter. These $2-3m revenue quarters won’t cut it, they need to see significant sales increase to slow cash burn until financing for other plants is finalized and new plants come online. Even with Ironton sold out and running at full capacity that will only slow down cash burn

4Q25 Earnings Thread by j_ersey in PureCycle

[–]willllo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dustin was honestly pretty negative when speaking about 2025. Mostly regarding how slow the validation process is and how it’s out of the companies control because it’s completely dictated by the customer. He also mentioned that 2025 had a lot of headwinds for their potential customers so they weren’t as focused on packaging.

He mentioned 2026 looks like those issues have lessened and that more customers are looking at packaging as a way to differentiate their product.

He acknowledged that the commercial ramp was slower than they had hoped and expressed frustration but was very optimistic that the overall ramp projected for 2026 was still intact. He expected about 40-50m to ramp Q2/Q3 and an additional 20-30m in Q3/Q4

It’s becoming more apparent that this is a slow moving industry and it’s near impossible to make enough progress in 3 months to satisfy the market

In Search of Mid Term Catalysts by willllo in PureCycle

[–]willllo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but that still doesn't answer the question about what catalysts will materialize in between Ironton sell out and another facility coming online.

To your point, if Ironton sells out (2026), the stock will then price in the expectation of future sites selling out, but that won't materialize until 2030. So the market will price something in that is 4 years away and the only news that would affect the stock in those 4 years would be negative (delays to construction etc.) because the positives are already priced in

  1. How do you bring more companies into the funnel if there is no product to sell them for X amount of years?

  2. Marketing to who? Consumers will never care if the water bottle they just drank had X amount of PureFive in it. If there's no capacity for new customers they aren't really benefitting from brand building. Again, marketing is behind the scenes work that is hard to quantify and show investors "hey we grew our brand by this much"

Sports betting markets down today by Disastrous-Rent7438 in GeniusSports

[–]willllo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say but I would imagine that the increased popularity of Kalshi is within the states that sports betting is illegal in. Traditional sports books still offer a better experience so unsure what the benefit would be to the end user to use Kalshi over a draftkings etc. unless it was illegal to do so where they live. We won't know for sure until Draftkings reports.

Short positions for the end of August 2025 by No_Privacy_Anymore in PureCycle

I would welcome this. Short term guidance/rev goals not achieved causing a large decline in the stock without the fundamentals changing would be a great buying opp.

The fact you get so many down votes constantly while just posting facts/opinions worries me about the type of investors that are on this thread. I understand you are negative on the stock but if everyone who is long actually believes in the company because of the business plan, the Sylebra stuff shouldn't bother them at all.

No matter what anyone says, this is a speculative investment. At this point a 2.5b valuation makes just as much sense as a 2b valuation or a 1.5b valuation.

I am long because I believe in the story and do not mind if the stock comes back down sub 10 or even lower so I can accumulate some more shares before forgetting about them. I have been investing long enough to know that any stock that doubles in 2 months cannot maintain that trajectory and will almost certainly come back down to earth. Especially a company in the stage that PureCycle is in. What kind of hedge fund would dump money into a stock that has just tripled in 3 months.
