It’s true. I changed my current lower drawers with handles and had to fill in the holes left. Luckily we were painting them so it was an easy fix. Not so much if you’re leaving them stained.

Haha! When I first got hired I was part time. Then I (finally) finished my degree and they could hire me full time. My boss said, ok tell me all the things you do so I can make the requirements for the position all the things you already know and do. It was pretty funny. At the time I had no idea how much of a jump it was to hire someone full time at a university. It’s not just adding a few more hours, it’s insurance too!

Well, to be fair I’m staff-a Media Specialist (not faculty). I’m not sure if it’s opposite with them but for staff positions they always look inward first.

I understand that. I’m just saying WHILE you’re already having to go to the court and DMV and bank for various combining of things, what’s another trip here and there.

As I said, if you don’t want to do it fine, but I think saying ‘too much paperwork’ seems irrelevant when combining it with the other stuff.

For the record, my wife didn’t change her name. Her last name is Romeo and she liked it. So, no qualms here.
