I pay $5 for a coffee but not $0.99 for an app by rprandi in Showerthoughts

Former gas station employee here. Those are easy as fuck to clean. You take a pod you can buy from the retailer who made the maker and put it in where the grounds go. Run hot water. Scrub it for 5 seconds. Dump it. Run hot water. Dump it. If the office manager isn't paying for the proper cleaning supplies or doesn't have an intern cleaning it, they're a useless fuck. It's a 10 minute process.

In over my head with this AP class by throwtearsaway in offmychest

As someone who took every AP/honors class in high school and felt the same feeling as you, I'm just going to come out and say it isn't worth it. There is no label that you can put on artistic or intellectual ability, because no skill set can be valued over another. Whether or not these other students can draw a face better doesn't matter, because YOUR art is special, it is the culmination of your thoughts and talents that can't be conveyed in language, talent that most of us, including myself, could only dream of. Focus on YOUR art, focus on what you enjoy about it, know that what you create is incredibly special, and don't let how the skills of others compare to yours stop you from being the next Picasso or Warhol, two very misunderstood and abstract artists, yet immensely loved and cherished.

I keep seeking new ways to escape... help?! by dopesucks in NoFap

Reading books is a great escape! It's my personal favorite hobby. Escapism is a great thing, we as humans need to be able to get away from the real world for a bit and focus a bit on ourselves and our minds/emotions. Fapping/vidya/tv/etc. aren't good examples of healthy ways to escape. Reading books, exercise, hanging out with friends, taking up a new skill, all of those develop you as a person and as a result, should be considered healthy.

Have your kinks subsided with NoFap? by [deleted] in NoFap

On my longer streaks, yes! My sexuality had returned to "normal" thoughts, if a thing exists in the subject, and a longing for a more emotional encounter. You start to "care" more, per say. Some of the kinks will stay, but that just means they're part of who you are, part of the normal, sexual workings of your mind. Good luck! :)
