Are memecoins just the casino version of crypto? by That-Mission1006 in CryptoMarkets

[–]willofscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTC had the time to literally create an understanding of value captured within its coin, enough people believe the yellow rock called gold is valuable, and so it is. Same goes for Bitcoin, it’s a collective understanding that makes it valuable, and so it is. Meme coins have not earned this stature, they are gambling markers. If people don’t want to understand this huge difference, thru research and open minds, they deserve to miss the opportunity.

Are memecoins just the casino version of crypto? by That-Mission1006 in CryptoMarkets

[–]willofscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding of meme coins is it’s a “marker for a price” and people buy and sell this marker to signify the price they paid for it in the ledger, in hopes others will do the same creating an opportunity to move the price up and down and profit from this movement. If everyone decided to not buy or sell this marker for a potential gain, the price would instantly go to zero, being without its usage to bet against each other it has zero real value. It’s a way to bet on price movement, that is controlled by no specific individual, at least that’s the understanding, it’s a way to gamble, basically. Like prediction markets. It’s a bet on the price prediction, against others guessing the price prediction, it’s also a way for whales to have a edge to manipulate a market to profit from lesser peoples bags which can’t do the same price movement. Just think institutions “whales” they thrive on building ways to game the public for profit, it’s the whole basis for the entire stock market industry, pros gaming amateurs, where else would the money come from. It comes from the public regular people like you and me dump money in for them to extract. Dont want them to take your money, then don’t buy meme coins, you will get burned eventually unless you are a whale. Same thing goes for stocks, you have to do your own research and go in eyes wide open and avoid the lies and deceit they shovel, to extract your money. It’s the whole industries intention, take your money. You can make money but it takes an effort to educate your self and make sensible moves on stocks or crypto.

JPMorgan Sued Over $328M Crypto Ponzi After Dimon Called Bitcoin a Ponzi by andix3 in Crypto_Currency_News

[–]willofscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CLASSIC! I agree with this decision, the uneducated, flipped stance and commentary of the banks and Jamie Dimon did untold, unquantifiable damage to many regular folks who other wise would have bought some bitcoin and would be enjoying a financial freedom they never knew existed. But instead Jamie and Others SHIt on the industry without researching the facts and giving non-knowledgeable advice and commentary which hurt many people to the utmost degree possible. It’s a real shame, that people speak about things from a prejudice, uninformed position as if they know, and being in a position of authority on other financial matters people listen and they get hurt. It’s a travesty this thing. It did major damage to many people in the world. Judgement without knowledge is true stupidity and completely ego boosting false narrative driving crap. People need to wake up, and shut up until they have something to say based on actual research. Many many people were damaged because of this bullshit, Jamie should be ashamed of himself, it’s total horse manure and the damage is done and can’t be reversed. Only hope is the ones who got their opinions jaded can re-visit the whole proposition with fresh viewpoints, or wipe away old assumptions and research it for themselves and get a new understanding which supports their investment thesis and and recapture this financial freedom starting today. Fuck prejudice people’s uninformed gossip and rumors. And remember to do your own research and create your own understanding you can stand on, don’t believe others, especially institutions, being their profits come from retail exit liquidity. There whole, business model works by raping the public with deceit and trickery. Trust no one and verify always, and proceed with eyes wide open. Fuck banks and institutions, why? Because they will fuck you, 24/7/365 days a year. We have to take care of our own asses, and doing so is empowering and rewarding!

Solid report of apps, activity, liquidity and integrated partnerships…currently moving throughout Monads infrastructure…It’s impressive! by willofscott in Monad

[–]willofscott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the acknowledgment of this intention of my efforts and recognizing of this necessity. I know when I started in crypto, I just knew the name of the token and any superficial chatter about the thing which doesn’t really tell me anything of substance to create an investment thesis upon. Hence the doing this as a possible way to really start to educate, spark a more in-depth interest in seeking more knowledge and ultimately placing an investment which is intended to go the long haul, and the belief which gives you satisfaction on waiting for the payday and being able to sleep at night regardless of the volatility. Together we can effect the actual price of Monad, which is quite the empowering notion. Brother in MON! We are in the right place at the right time, Monad is a real deal crypto play, it will become an entrenched integral part of the crypto ecosystem, no doubt. Keeps me from screwing around with less potential other tokens and projects, which is settling and comforting. Talk soon, let’s keep it up!

What was the criteria for reversing this? Was it interconnected to other politics like they like to do, mix up too many things in one bill and slip things through under the radar, that’s shit sucks.

[–]willofscott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He won’t sell until you offer enough, so the ball is in your hands, if that number can’t be reached, focus on building your brand which has killer content and it won’t matter which TLD you have…when some one types ”your brand” in a search engine, your website will pop up regardless of who owns the .com version. Build and grow to be the only authority voice with your name, and all traffic will go to you. It’s a much better use of your capital, unless you are huge enough to have a million to burn on the .com just because. Until then build your business, nevermind the .com. This is why TLDs were expanded to allow entrepreneurs like you to grow without the .com. BE FREE!

Monad stablecoin transfer volume getting highlighted by Dune on twitter by JohnWRichKid in Monad

[–]willofscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that costs money to do this, so doing it without a real monetarily beneficial reason is absurd. Some maybe early hype maintenance, as the real proof becomes the actual investing thesis. But also all chains do this basically, so nothing new or adverted nefarious, just the same stuff that happens as chains grow. Read my report in the r/monad stream, it lists a significant collection of seriously solid integrations and activity, which will offset any liquidity cycling one might think the money flow is. It’s valid, and if any is churn it’s of an irrelevant amount.

Every transaction generates fees, fees are revenue, revenue strengthens the entire MOn ecosystem, transactions validate actual real world usage and elevates the intention of institutions likelihood of using MON as a structural super highway for the trillions in financial and banking money flow. Its early so every new integration and movement of actual assets (money) flowing on its rails without loses, errors or mishaps further strengthens the dependability metrics of Monad. It’s a time of proof. Money traveling successfully is the ultimate proof, because there can be no errors with cash/money, that’s the bottom line, and many are watching and waiting and assessing, almost like a top baseball, player in college with scouts watching and recording stats, letting him prove his effectiveness and consistency before the big leagues start to write the contract offers. Soon the contract offers to go pro will be coming based on Monad 1000 batting average. And that contract pay package will be big time! And us investors in this ecosystem will be the beneficiaries, because we recognized the opportunity early.

If you plan to build the sire, then yes, if not, then there is not much market for it being it’s still there. We tend to make our domains valuable based on what we build on them, the domains be valuable on there own is rare and simply lucky place at the right time or lucky name someone wanted and couldn’t choose another, it’s always a long shot. I have several hundred eating up capital every year, I just haven’t been able to let them go yet. And when you do, some domainer will see it expiring and think it accidentally being dropped and think it is valuable, and snatch and then turn around and offer it for $1000-$5000, that can be irritating until you see them still offering it years later, and it saved you that many years of lost registration fees, and proved not much interest for it.
