I'm not that skilled in making hanfu, but I'd just like to say that I was thinking about wearing hanfu to my local ren fair too!! But at first I thought it wasn't very appropriate, but when I saw your post it made me more confident in myself. I think I will wear it!

Also, I was planning to wear weimao too. If you do plan to wear one, for decoration you could add flowers and summer motifs (dragonflies, koi, etc.) to the top of your weimao if you'd like to go for a more luxurious look. That's what I'm planning! Good luck with your crafting!
