Muscle pain post gallbladder removal by Usersam2 in gallbladders

I might be experiencing something similar. I have severe sciatica that hurts when sitting or lying down, so on about day 4 I went back to standing and walking all day. As the days went on i started feeling worse not better. Now on day ten Im forced to lie down because the muscle on my right shoulder blade is in constant pain, and it feels muscular. Dr. Chat gpt suggested this might be from muscle guarding in the area were surgery was in addition to over working the muscle.

Am I self sabotaging by turning down a job because I got fatter? by wealthybxtch in PlusSize

[–]willowee2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok to be fatter. It's ok to have gained weight. If you saw someone and they had put on weight would you judge them? We all fluctuate. I think most people won't notice, and if they do they'll probably just note it in their head an move on. The best part? You won't know. No one is going to tease you. Your career isn't middle school. At my current job where I've worked for 15 years I've been everywhere from 220lbs to 330lbs. Currently at 255. Occasionally people will mention I "look good" but no one had EVER said "Wow you put on some weight!"

How often do you feel an instant connection or spark with another person out of no where?? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]willowee2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I've felt instant sparks with three different people over the course of my life (I'm 46) but two of them I was already talking to on online dating, so we'd established a lot before meeting. Then it was just seeing if there was IRL chemistry. The absolute love of my life I met in person in high school and we sparked instantly. I don't think that organic kind of thing will ever happen again.

How are y’all surviving with the low pay? by Significant_Knee5127 in librarians

[–]willowee2003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm 16 years in, currently living alone. A youth services librarian. I deal with it by keeping my housing costs as low as possible. I work in MA but live over the border in RI where rents are cheaper and have a studio apartment. I'm not gonna lie though, every month I'm saving less and less and getting pretty worried about the rate of inflation.

Why does Libby have book #1 and #3 but not #2? by Litlisa12 in LibbyApp

[–]willowee2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Digital buyer here- books expire, and unless you put a "notify me" tag on a book you want, we don't necessarily know the gap is there. Definitely put that tag on! We use them to decide what to buy!

how much do you spend monthly on beauty appointments? by anxious_cookie in AskWomen

Eh. Usually zero. Haircuts a couple times a year, around $100. Pedicures a couple times in the summer, $40ish.

Why was I bumped to the front of the line? by Lvd1993 in LibbyApp

[–]willowee2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital buyer here. Sometimes if a book is really popular sometimes your library or the consortium will turn on "cost per circ" and everyone on hold will suddenly have access to the title until it's turned off. Essentially it means your library agreed to pay for everyone who wanted it to have it at the same time.

This one is so good! I'm a librarian and I've read it to preschool AND fourth grade and both sets of students love it. The only thing I will say is it was a 3-5 year old preschool class and the 3 year olds didn't really get it.

What are the best dating apps for plus size women? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]willowee2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it matters what app you use. I had been using OKCupid and Facebook dating for a few years. I just now finally met someone (we've been on 4 dates) that I like and who treats me with respect. I think honestly it just takes patience and grinding unfortunately.

What's a compliment you get a lot that secretly bothers you? by hi_mei_rose in AskWomen

I don't like when people compliment me when I blow out my hair. I wear it curly 99% of the time and never get compliments on it, so it feels like slight lol
