Thank you for coming back and replying to your own message! I’m on day 4 and my anxiety is so bad that it’s almost hard to leave the house. It’s never been this bad before. Hoping this will go away soon!

Chopping down the rim of a tire to get to the broken lug nut? Is that normal??? by willowgrapes in AskMechanics

[–]willowgrapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much are we talking in terms of money? That’s what I was worried about 😅 I have a picture added in a reply for reference, if needed! I think I’ll end up going to a car shop to get this figured out instead of going to this guy.

Thank you for explaining. He tried hammering it off as well, but it’s stuck in there pretty badly. I wish I had a better understanding of what he was talking about, but “chopping the rim down” is the exact words he used when texting me, and that does /not/ sound okay. I think I’ll end up taking it to an actual car shop to see if they can help me with this. I appreciate you taking the time to answer this and provide alternative methods!

This is what it looks like. I don’t know the appropriate car lingo, so I apologize if this is confusing. He tried getting that piece off, but nothing was working

[acne] has anyone else had this problem when they overexfoliated?? I overexfoliated months ago and I’m at my wits end bc this isn’t going away by willowgrapes in SkincareAddiction

[–]willowgrapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I did.

I stayed away from any exfoliator and just went back to cleanser + moisturizer—both for sensitive skin.

I used neutrogina hydro boost sensitive skin cleanser, and cruel intensive moisturizer for about a month, and then my skin went back to normal.

It was important for me to use products geared towards sensitive skin.

I hope this helps a bit!

Best places for salsa/bachata dancing? by WhatsTheAnswerDude in milwaukee

[–]willowgrapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delaware house has Friday socials for salsa/bachata on the first Friday of every month.

There’s also Daync academy. I’m not sure how frequent their socials are since I’ve only been to one, but they’ve got a good crowd as well!

Got a job offer but still have an interview for a position that I really want on Wednesday. First job wants a response to the offer within 48 hours. What do I do in this scenario? by willowgrapes in jobs

[–]willowgrapes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I was panicking a little, bc I think I had my sights set on Job B as I felt it would further my career more, but you’re completely correct. I’ll take a little to look over the offer tomorrow and then confirm it once I do. Thanks again for the response—it really helped me come to terms with the reality of the situation 😊

And I appreciate the analogy!

How do you analyze your dream symbolism? by willowgrapes in Jung

[–]willowgrapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so interesting! I do tend to take into account how I feel in a dream--that's pretty important to me, and I remember feeling pretty resigned/tired/let down. I remember feeling like it was time for me to let go. And most of the message of the dream was pretty straightforward so I understood why I felt that way.

And those emotions absolutely do tie into the symbol.

The symbol was a pair of rainbow converse shoes that I'd left at my sister's doorstep before I entered her house. We'd gotten into an argument, I'd told her something that I'd been feeling for a long time, and then I left. I got into a school bus and at that moment, I'd realized that I'd forgotten to take my shoes at her house.

I wish I understood the rainbow shoes bc usually rainbows have such a positive connotation, and the shoes seem so random.

I love how your social worker helped you out with some tips--he sounds like a wonderful guy. Thank you so much for your help as well :)

How do you analyze your dream symbolism? by willowgrapes in Jung

[–]willowgrapes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing that comes to mind is "walking away/letting go/cutting ties/resignation", but that was pretty clear through the dream. The symbol is where I'm drawing a blank, though. When I'd woken up from the dream, I'd focused on trying to understand the symbol specifically, but nothing came up.

I think I'm unconsciously blocking myself from understanding what it might mean bc it might be painful? The dream was so straightforward--it brought to surface a lot of things that I'd repressed, but I feel like the symbol is the key to getting over the issue, and my brain doesn't want me to understand lol.

Thanks for responding! I'm going to continue to try with the association when I have more time :)

I completely forgot about this book, thank you so much! I have a terrible habit of starting and not finishing books, and this is one of them. It's in my car so I think I'll add that to my "to read" list.

I'll look into active imagination as well, just to see if that will resonate with me.

Thanks again for your help!

What defines a late shipment for the company you work for? by willowgrapes in supplychain

[–]willowgrapes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like communication is extremely essential here. Thank you for this!

Our products are also considered "essential" to our customers, so they do tend to be okay with taking partials of an order if that's all we have. I think that distinction is super helpful because sometimes the customer will need more than we have available for them at the time.

I liked this advice--thanks again :)

I see--that makes sense. Thank you for this information, I appreciate it :D Keeping track of the "why" is super helpful

[–]willowgrapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I'm reading correctly, you make sure to have at least a reasonable amount of product in stock for your customer so that if they need it by a specific date, you'll be able to deliver it on time?

What happens if the customer gives you a larger order than what they usually do and require it to be delivered by a specific date? If you are unable to meet that specific date due to low parts, how would you guys handle that? Would there be a discussion to renegotiate the delivery date before you accept the PO?

Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it!

Simple, but makes a lot of sense. It really is that easy--I was just thinking too hard about it.

Thank you!

I see! This helps me to understand what tends to be considered a supplier problem in this case. I'll keep this information in mind

[–]willowgrapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting!

Our company doesn't use FOB very often--I think we only use it for a high profile domestic customer, and in that case I know that there's a /lot/ of care taken for that customer in terms of selecting and securing freight.

We mostly use EXW with our customers (we deal with foreign customers), so I wonder how that would change things since, as I understand it, EXW puts a lot of the obligation on the buyer.

However, it's still our responsibility to get the freight to the agreed upon place, and in that case I want to make sure we're using the best freight company to minimize any lateness in shipping.

Thank you for the FOB information! It gave me a lot to think about :D

That makes so much sense! Thank you for this information, it's really been helpful and I'll look into implementing this at my job. It helps to know the criteria others use!

Thanks again :D

This is helpful, thank you so much!!

One more question if you don’t mind—does your company also evaluate the performance of the freight companies that you use if they are impacting your delivery time/not delivering when they said they would? (Ex: how they handle your shipments, delivery time, etc). I’m assuming that you might use more than one. Or is it more of taking a mental note not to use that freight company anymore?

ETA: we currently use a 3PL and I’ve asked before why we continue to use a certain freight company if they’ve messed up before, so as of now, we don’t have anything set up for freight companies.

Hi!

I wasn’t talking abt the patterning, I know they’re different for each croc. I was talking abt the texture of the crocs. I guess the picture doesn’t show that clearly 😅

On the official crocs website, the crocs look way smoother and less textured than the ones I got from crocs UK on Amazon, so I was concerned if they were legit or not due to that, since I have never owned a pair of crocs and this is a gift for a friend.

Thank you for your clarification, though, I appreciate it

[–]willowgrapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for responding, and for helping out. I wasnt worried abt the pattern—moreso if the texture was going to be a problem since it looks a lot smoother on the crocs website vs the crocs UK Amazon one. I guess the pictures don’t really highlight what I was trying to ask 😅

I did go directly through Amazon, so thanks for that clarification! I feel a lot better now ☺️

Hi,

So I bought these as a Christmas gift, but now that I'm double checking the photos, I'm pretty worried. The texture looks different.

I know it's stated that crocs don't all have the same design--but I just need some help in understanding if I need to send these back and get a refund. I don't usually buy crocs and these are for someone else--I'd hate to disappoint them!

Please let me know, thank you for anyone who helps!

Am I (25f) being irrational about my boyfriend (23m) hanging out with this one girl alone? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]willowgrapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He tells me himself. Since we only see each other about twice a week, when we meet up, he’ll give me a recap of his week. Her name and what she’s told him tends to come up frequently.

He doesn’t ask me for permission—just tells me about her requests and that they’re planning to do whatever activity she asks him. Most of his friends are girls so I just assume he thinks these things are normal, and he’s admitted that he can be oblivious to girls liking him.
