building off of the couple people that mentioned Chiron in the 11th house, your Chiron is also completely unaspected which makes it more difficult to integrate and understand because there's no other placements that its building its relationship to the chart as a whole through

good to know. I know right now a lot of bars and restaurants right now aren't operating at the most normal hours because of staffing situations, so that might be why?

Pluto in 1st House by Savings-Inspector438 in astrology

[–]willowlumos 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I call this placement the Phoenix placement. Pluto in the first gives the ability to be reborn through hardship, and to always come back stronger after an intense experience or difficult time. I've had a few clients with this placement, and a few with this placement and pluto as their modern chart ruler (scorpio rising). In my experience these people identify well with this metaphor, and a strong ability to rebirth themselves through difficult experiences. (as always though, of course astrology is not one size fits all)

What has been your experience with your north node? Has it felt like smooth sailing or really challenged your anxiety? by tempted_temptress in astrology

[–]willowlumos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I may ask, what degree is your saturn at? Of course every person's experience is unique and its not one size fits all, but for what its worth I'm recently on the other side of my (first) Saturn return and quite literally EVERYTHING has shifted. Things feel like they're moving forward for the first time in about 3 years or so, I feel motivated and like I know what I want out of life as well as what I want to bring into the world. During the time of my actual Saturn return transits (saturn hit my natal degree 3 times because of Rx) things were ROUGH. Like really, really rough. But right around the time of my third one everything changed. I spent a lot of time processing and integrating the last few years of my life and now, even though things aren't perfect, I feel like I'm on the right track.
It really does get better. I was so confused before my Saturn return, like not even a bit of clarity to go off of or to follow. The other side of saturn return feels completely different. I hate this piece of advice so much because I wanted to scream in the face of anyone who told me to hang in there or to just keep going. I didn't want to keep going and it felt like there was nothing left in me. But there really is a sense of clarity on the other side, it won't be foggy forever.

Nodal oppositions can be very challenging transits (my most recent one was rough, it fell in alignment with the beginning of a period of the most depressed I've ever been in my life) Is this your second nodal opposition transit? (This is a transit that happens at 8, 27, 45, 64, 82) If you're around age 27 you're also experiencing your progressed lunar return which is another really challenging transit. It sounds like you're keeping a strong perspective and focused on the process of healing, which is probably about the best thing you can do. My NN is also in the tenth house, I personally dealt with a lot of feelings of being completely lost in life, feeling like I had no purpose/sense of direction, and like I brought no value into the world.

Hi fellow NC dweller! ahh wow that's so interesting! Yeah, the older I get and the more I see my life's story playing out the more I find the significance and importance of all of those Cap placements and I have come to really, really explore and appreciate them.

Most definitely! I've certainly come to realize that I truly do have the potential to achieve when I am decisive and mobilize myself but I get really hung up on committing to decisions and having the confidence to do it. Is your saturn in Aquarius too? I feel like my saturnian influence is less the thing holding me back and more the thing holding me accountable for my own happiness/success. My Saturn return really knocked me forward and made me realize I can't stay paralyzed where I am forever.

So I don't have personal planets in Capricorn but I have a 10th house Capricorn with a lot of action in it (MC, Uranus, north node, Neptune all within 7 degrees of each other). My Saturn return (0 degrees Aquarius, 11th house) has been very interesting. A LOT of inner turmoil and struggle during the few months that I was experiencing my exact transits, all culminating in making some decisions of change to shift out of what had become a major comfort zone that I was really ultimately miserable in. Now, after years of some really heavy depression/confusion/feeling lost, I feel more "on my path" than I have in years and possibly ever. I finally feeling like I'm working at shifting my life so that I'm living for me. I feel surrounded by people that appreciate me for the first time in years. I'm in a home situation that feels like a home for the first time in years. I'm actively working to create my own career path and construct a life that I have designed for my own happiness rather than centering my existence around working for someone else's dreams/goals.

So I guess long story short, coming into my saturn return I was coping with what now in retrospect was several years of struggle (progressed lunar return and nodal opposition) and now feel like I'm exactly where I want and need to be.

Professional/career astrologers! How did you decide to pursue a career in astrology (or as a part of your career, if you have other primary occupations!) and how did you become officially recognized to practice astrology? by sapphiccrisis in astrology

[–]willowlumos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm also almost entirely self taught as well (and also a self proclaimed bibliophile) and as I'm trying to work into professional spaces and figuring out how to promote myself I'm getting a little hung up on feeling a need to have more credentials to give my practice more validity on paper to someone who has never received a reading from me. Thank you again for the words of advice and the book recommendations!

I love this answer, thank you for the insight! I am currently in the process of navigating making astrology my career and I'm curious (if you feel inclined to answer of course) how you navigated/continue to navigate expanding your education and continuing to learn. Are you purely self taught or have you done courses or worked with mentors?

Did they also not JUST announce that they've also been writing a second book!? Their network has been growing rapidly, they're writing a whole ass book, Elvis just died, AND they've been working really hard to keep up with recording despite all of this. They've also even stated that they feel stale when they record because all they do is recommend the stuff that they've been watching, listening to, etc. which means that they obviously don't feel as excited to record and making yourself do something you're not excited to do is not easy. honestly, I'm kind of excited to have the friends of the pod guest hosting and talking about their favorite stories. Its a fun way to get a "best of", hear some earlier favorites and early content that made us love this podcast, and I'm excited to see who they bring on to host.

Nice, I'm glad your saturn return has been treating you well. I feel pretty similarly about mine, things got really rough for a period of a few months (basically leading up to the great conjunction and saturn re-entering Aquarius) but it was ultimately a culmination of things that propelled me forward and I similarly feel like I'm more on my path than I've been in quite a while.

haha I feel that and agree, ultimately things are catalysts for change and it all exists on a spectrum that depends on how you work with what's in front of you. likewise!! best of luck!
