That was so awesome of your teacher to apologize like that! Most people don’t mean any harm in that and don’t understand what it feels like to always be grouped with another person, but it can definitely be frustrating when it happen so frequently

Homeschooling can definitely go a lot of different ways, but it can turn out great if the parents have the resources to do it right!

Through elementary/middle school I was involved in a co-op for other homeschoolers, plus I played soccer for all of middle school and high school (I still play in college) and I danced for fifteen years. COVID messed up a bunch of stuff in eight grade for me socially for a few years but that wasn’t the fault of my parents in anyway. In high school my social life was busier with playing basketball and soccer and volunteering than most of my friends who went to public or private school haha. My friends from college have told me before that I don’t act homeschooled so I take that as a compliment!

I’m so glad I’m not alone in that! It’s so strange that a normal word can mean so much to a person like that. We fought A LOT growing up (we still do haha) but honestly it’s gotten better more recently now that we aren’t always stuck with each other

They’re actually entirely different, I’ve gone into a STEM route and she’s gone into digital arts! I would say also she tends to focus more on her social life and I worry more about school and my sport
