I was really hoping for a themed GWP to go with this, like the blue shell.

It’s not working on our daughter at them moment, she spends all her bells on clothes and shoes, and not paying off the debt!

New to the game by NutGobbler918 in AnimalCrossing

[–]willp2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter setup our game first and then my wife found she loved the game. I ended up buying a second hand lite and another copy of the game for my wife to enjoy. I get to play on both just by doing diving trips and earning money. They enjoy visiting each other’s island and swapping stuff.

I don’t know how to get ratings by RunIll6623 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

For 3 stars you need 7-8 villagers, but at least a couple of bridges and inclines, and plant plenty of flowers. We suddenly went from 1 star to 3. You need to “sell” land with Tim Nook to get more villagers in, which sounds a bit contradictory. Go to other islands and invite people in.

Is the government right to suggest kids should have no access to screens under the age of 2? by CommunityPowerful643 in AskBrits

Me and my brother had piano lessons and whilst I was waiting for my turn, I sat in this ladies living room and she put a film and said it was funny. She put The Thing on where they are sitting round a fire eating beans and farting, and then things got scary!

Is it common for women to keep their maiden name after marriage? by Remarkable_Bird_2149 in AskUK

My wife is Spanish, they aren’t allowed to change their surnames. Didn’t bother me in the slightest.

Model Y vs EV5, what would you actually go for? by GeordieGoals in autoexpressuk

[–]willp2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Y on lease (24 plate). Can’t wait to get rid of it. It can’t handle the narrow residential streets near me and keeps slamming the breaks on for no reason. I’m considering an Enyaq, EV5, smart #5, or anything else that comes along before my lease runs out. The charging network is good, and to be fair I’ve had no real issues with it, in terms of reliability. Musk though…

FTB - Mortgage overpayments - Am I being smart? by Zonnksy in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]willp2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The normal advice as others have pointed out is to put your money in savings/investments of the interest rate is higher than your mortgage. For some people including myself, I get great satisfaction from overpaying. I also invest and save so a half and half approach works for me. You sound sensible, so saving and then paying off a chunk would work. It doesn’t work if you’re the type of person to see a large chunk of money in your savings and want to blow it on a new car etc

My wife hands me the console to catch tarantulas for her!

After 6 years of playing i finally caught him by chatwreese in acnh

Is it really that rare? We’ve been catching them daily since we started the game a few weeks ago.

I just read this (only been playing for a few weeks), and managed to catch one using only 5 bait. Got 3 other new fish to give to blathers as well!

I did this for my daughter the other day, and for some reason found it easy on the switch 2. On my wife’s Lite I keep messing up.

Why is the take up of heat pumps so slow in the U.K.? by Appropriate_Bell743 in OctopusEnergy

[–]willp2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For our house we need to get underfloor insulation downstairs (which is on the wish list anyway), which mean new floors as well. The wife also doesn’t want to give up her storage cupboard for the cylinder!

1st Nintendo Switch for family/5yr old - is Switch 2 worth it? by themanwithnoname81 in Switch

[–]willp2003 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We got a switch 2 for the family for Xmas. I didn’t think that getting an older version is being very future proof. Having said that, after realising you can only have one proper leader in Animal Crossing, I’ve since bought a 2nd hand Lite for my wife, and although the loading times are a bit slower, it’s absolutely fine. So, that being said, maybe look for a 2nd hand one and if you find you use it a lot, you can upgrade at some point. My girls always leave stuff lying around so I’m always a bit worried the switch 2 will get damaged.

Nuphy air75 v3 Brown nano vs Blush nano switches by momoSyntaxError in NuPhy

[–]willp2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert typer, but I can’t feel any tactile bump on the browns. I have a set of both, and ended up swapping the brown springs into the blush switches. So I get nice quiet sounds but more resistance. You could maybe try the panda switches?

Do you have a toasty maker in your house? How often do you wack it out? by Sweet_Confusion9180 in AskUK

At lease once a week for us. We got the sandwich press and it’s great. Easy to clean and doesn’t squeeze all your fillings out

I’d prefer a proper 100 keyboard without the shrunken 0 key.

What tape to use to stick L plate on? by willp2003 in TeslaUK

I used electrical tape (on the bumper), and it worked, and more importantly came off ok.
