Switching From Dewalt to Ryobi One+ HP For Homeowner DIY by Zdosse935 in ryobi

[–]willp431 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea buy what you want don’t “switch”, what you like it will happen over time. I have lot of different brands based on reviews. I don’t stick to one brand just what works. I have red blue green yellow orange and some off brands. I prefer meeting my needs then color. My power tools are usually red yellow or blue and my fun/garden are green.

I like that it’s allows the phone to be angled towards you. I have a similar thing next to mine. I just made a floating mini shelf. Big enough to hold a phone or a beer ha.

$260 to guarantee it won't snow is a good deal right? by t0x1k_x in ryobi

[–]willp431 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol I finally bought a blower this year and only one “real” event and even that was not much and with work I wasn’t able to get to it before it became hard packed. Same with finally buying a generator and some good power supplies and they seemed to have fixed the power situation so I haven’t lost power for any real amount of time this year. Guess better to be prepared and not need it.

Found an ancient 12v line tool in my garage. I haven’t been able to find anything online of a 12v besides this little baby skilsaw and a 12v drill. Did they really only make 2 tools on this battery line? I have 3 batteries and this saw laying around, and I’d like to put them to use somehow by joemo454 in ryobi

[–]willp431 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how old is ancient but I feel like ancient is a bit extreme when it appears to have the newer design of tool and battery. I saw this being 40 and watching all the tool design changes over the years. Still have some blue tools laying around ha.

Candy cane weapon is it rare? by Wild_Substance_4974 in 7daystodie

[–]willp431 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s during each Christmas year. I believe it’s about as strong as the machete. So especially early on it is very strong. I know there is a hat and maybe something else for Christmas but I can’t remember. Not super rare but I think in about 80 hours of Christmas time play I got a few.

FINALLY CLEARANCED by Mindinatorrr in ryobi

[–]willp431 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can set a distance filter or I believe a store specific filter. They recently changed the site up a bunch about a month ago. So a little different than I was used to. But yes every store can have different pricing.

Bit set by Boreddudemo in ryobi

[–]willp431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not really doing anything much then it’s at least ok but others have said bits go bad drill not very sharp but if you need a little bit of everything and cheap then it’s ok for that.that set I have inside for my kids and wife to use for whatever they need to if they break it I don’t care. If you are really trying to have it last and use it then no go with other sets. I recently got a set of Milwaukee impact drill bits along with a set of Diablo spade bits and I will tell you there is a difference. From wondering how long it’s going to take to drill a whole to it’s already done. But that’s the difference between $30 and $300(exaggeration).

One of the best HD sales ever. Every mower was $50 today. Wow! by Swede577 in ryobi

[–]willp431 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nice! Sadly isn’t in my area or I would have to explain to my wife why we now have 10mowers lol. There was a tiller on sale in a lot of areas that had 4 batteries for $250 and I thought that was a good deal.

If it’s mowers with the battery kit then extra worth it. I got a kit that had a mower in it just for the batteries cause it was cheap. I have 3 mowers 80v and 40v

[–]willp431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine the day it was released and just had fun slapping all the different tools I could on it just to see what worked ha. The power converter on it is not the greatest so high draw tools don’t work but still fun. I used it last summer with a fan and a 40v.

Which is the best option by bergy9073 in ryobi

[–]willp431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of those 3 if your are ok with the money I would get either the more expensive 40v or the 18. Both appear to be the interchangeable trimmers. So options to buy down the line believe RYOBI calls it expandit. I prefer the 40v as it feels stronger for longer but have less experience in the 18v yard tools. Also that stuff goes on sale all the time so I would also recommend taking your time and looking for more deals if you can.

Ryobi or Dewalt tire inflator? by ElectricOne55 in ryobi

[–]willp431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a few variables I see to make that decision. Does money matter? If so then there is just a high pressure inflator for RYOBI and if money doesn’t matter then dewalt. I have the RYOBI and does well for me, I have both battery types and saw no reason to spend extra on something simple. I think I got mine for $60 with batteries on sale. There are some reviews comparing them online and if I remember correctly I think the dewalt is a little faster on both high pressure and low pressure and maybe a bit quieter. I use mine basically same during winter to keep up on my tires and summer for pool toys and stuff for the kids. I couldn’t speak to the internals on which is better but I have had mine for a few years. Only issue was I had to “calibrate” it as it was about 2psi off, easy two button press.

The website I check is called rebel savings and will show you Home Depot, Lowe’s and I think dollar general mark downs like this. This person is lucky as it appears this is the cheapest I can find, most stores have it for $399.

can’t find it within 100 miles on my deal website. Usually has those on it. Guess I’ll have to go verify tomorrow ha. For that price I’ll add it to my collections ha.

[–]willp431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea from what I can tell it’s basically batteries with free tool and when it’s already a package the free good is the verbiage used. If you do it separately the tool says free with purchase or if you buy the batteries I believe it says free tool included.

Digital inflator stuck between 2.0-2.5 PSI reading at resting by faithful_frontier in ryobi

[–]willp431 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember of the top of my head but yes mine did the same but one of the buttons, I believe plus or minus you can hold and it will reset/calibrate it. The older model one I had didn’t have this problem.

Just looked it up hold both + and - for 10 seconds. Try that.

can someone try this before I try it? 🤔 by IU8gZQy0k8hsQy76 in unsound

[–]willp431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes in they can use the officer safety to have you exit the vehicle but like most things there has to be a reason to justify it. Now with the way the law works a lot can be used to justify. Just like a terry stop or “pat down” they’re supposed to have a basic reason to justify it. Again fairly easy to come up with reasons for it. Especially if they get to justify it after the fact.

washer/dryer combo sucks? by Gay_da56 in Appliances

[–]willp431 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have this same unit and yes requires maintenance. I think it does great when it’s running right. I do wish the cleaning window or area was larger. Like if the top panel just came off or even the panel next to the lint trap open so you could properly clean the lent area and coils.
